Hello readers. Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you!
It started on Monday and I was still on vacation from work. I woke up bright and early, while Mr. O slept in and Lea went off to work. Since I had some free time I fired up the PS5 and played Baldurs Gate 3 (BG3) to try and win that fight I spoke about last week. Remember? The one that took me forever to beat, only for me to win and then not save anything before my character died again lol. Well anyways, I was able to beat it again thankfully so I am making more progress in the game!
Soon enough Mr. O was up and ready to start the day. I got him dressed and we went to brush our teeth. Then we came downstairs to watch some choo-choo videos while we played and ate breakfast. Before we knew it, it was time for a nap. While he slept for a few hours I worked out downstairs and then played more BG3. When he woke up again I made him lunch, and since it was so nice outside (50-60 degrees) we went for a quick 20-30 minute walk. It was beautiful and great exercise. Mr. O had a ton of fun riding in his little blue car again. When we came back we put on High School Musical 3 (we watched the other two already so we needed to finish it off) and played some more.
On Monday night neither of us felt like cooking so Lea and I had lunchables for dinner while watching the Sopranos lol. It was a quiet evening.
Tuesday was sadly my last day of vacation. While Mr. O was asleep I posted my very first TikTok and my second video on Rumble. After the little man woke up all three of us went on a walk because it was nice out for a second day in a row! The fresh air was great. We’ve been cooped up in our house for so long since we were fighting off those colds the last couple of weeks. That night Lea made her amazing stuffed shells for dinner. However, she forgot to tell me one piece of the recipe she needed so I had to run back to the store to pick it up. Thankfully our grocery store is around the corner and it only took me maybe ten minutes lol.
On Wednesday Mr. O and I did our normal morning routine. Sadly I had to go back to work so I couldn’t spend the rest of the day with him. In the evening I made dinner. I saved one of Lea’s recipes and made Mississippi Chicken. It’s pretty easy lol. So easy that I can do it! Thankfully it turned out okay.
On Thursday I was listening to an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. He had on Ky Dickens who is the host and creator of the Telepathy Tapes. I never watched/listened to her show before but she was a very interesting guest and apparently telepathy is real. So that’s cool. I look forward to digging into her work more. Later that night I played with Mr. O, put him to bed and worked out downstairs. After I showered I laid down and passed out so quickly I don’t even remember what happened lol.
On Friday Lea and I cleaned the house before work started because her side of the family was coming into town for Mr. O’s birthday party. That’s right – my boy is turning two! Lea vacuumed and got the guest bed’s ready while I did the dishes, cleaned the stove top and vacuumed the stairs so she didn’t have to (you’re welcome, dear). Later on in the day, around the time I was getting off of work, everyone showed up to our house lol. Well, almost everyone. Lea’s parents, sister-in-law and her two girls came earlier than the rest. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were going to the church (where we are hosting Mr. O’s party) to help Lea set everything up. I say it a lot but my wife is so incredible! She did just about all the decorations on her own. She made it and set it all up perfectly! We did a Golden ticket/Willy Wonka theme since it’s his golden birthday. Take a look:

Later that night my brother-in-law and nephew met me, my father-in-law and Mr. O at the church because the ladies needed help moving tables and chairs around while they took care of all the important decorations lol. So it was fun meeting everyone there on Friday night and helping out for a bit.
Finally, it was Saturday. Aka: Birthday party day!!! I slept in for the first time in a while. When I got up and went downstairs everyone else appeared to be awake already lol so we were all just hanging out until it was time for us to leave for the party. Lea and my sister-in-law went a bit early to set a few more things up, while I laid Mr. O down for a nap so he was nice and energized for his big day. When he woke up I fed him a quick lunch and got him ready for his party.
We eventually made our way there and I am not exaggerating when I say he had, maybe, the best day of his life so far lol. He was ecstatic. All his cousins and friends were there and all the kids were running around and playing. It was so cute and it made us so happy to see. After the party we headed home with the rest of Lea’s side of the family. We opened gifts and ate the leftover food from the party. Mr. O and his cousins played with his new toys and eventually we all went to bed. It was an incredible day.
Sunday was Mr. O’s actual birthday. Our little man is two-years-old I cannot believe it. Time flies so fast and I hate it so much. Buddy, if you read this one day just know we love you so much! Happy birthday to our boy.
It was a great week!
