Lazy Saturday

Hello dear readers. I write to you today from the region (as always). Where it’s around 45 degrees and most likely going to rain or snow at some point today. It’s cold, it’s gloomy, it’s the norm around here this time of year.

It’s been a tiring week, followed by a tiring weekend. Last night after work I met my cousin and his girlfriend for dinner. We went to Little Italy and it was a lot of fun! I haven’t seen them in a while so it was nice to catch up while they were in the area. Lea and Baby O weren’t able to make if, sadly. Our poor little guy had a tiny fever. He’s okay, he is feeling much better today. His fever is gone! He’s back to playing non-stop, crawling everywhere and screaming baby-talk all day lol. It’s the best.

It’s a lazy Saturday for us. We’ve all just been sitting around playing and watching TV all day. It’s a good day for that. We just finished watching the Indiana State basketball game. They played Northern Iowa in their conference semi-final game and won! ISU has a pretty good team this year and I wish they were this good when Lea and I went there. It would have made the experience so much more fun (it was fun while they sucked too, but them being this good would have made it better).

Now we are watching the Bulls. They’re in Los Angeles playing the Clippers right now. Currently only down by 2 points which is great. We (the fans) had some good news today as well. Per K.C. Johnson, Bulls Insider for NBC Sports Chicago, Bulls’ Lonzo Ball cleared for advanced rehab activities. This is great. Per the piece, he is running, jumping and cutting! With the type of surgery he had it’s very unlikely he would have made it this far in his progress. Now the real test will be if he can actually play basketball again at the physical NBA level. Only time will tell, but I would honestly be okay to keep this team together if he is able to come back. If not, blow the team up and make some trades.

Other than our uneventful weekend, there hasn’t been much going on. However, lately I have been finding myself with a “strange addiction” (if you can call it that). I cannot stop watching these competitive eaters videos on TikTok. I know, it’s weird, but it amazes me how these people can fit so much food into their stomachs. It’s incredible, yet disgusting. It’s one of those things where you want to look away but you can’t. I can’t explain my fascination with it. It’s just something I’ve been watching at night before bed. I don’t know how they do it!

Now it’s time to say goodbye. I’ll try to get on here for often, life has just been so busy and tiring. Have a great weekend!
