Thanksgiving Surprise!

Happy Thanksgiving to my readers! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are having a great weekend. I’ve been a little busy lately so I haven’t had much time to write, which stinks but it’s okay. I do have some good news though! (we’ll get to that later). First I wanted to discuss Thanksgiving and talk about what I’m thankful for. Then I HAVE to discuss the Bulls. There’s been a lot going on with them. Finally, I will discuss my good news. It will be very brief, but it’s exciting!

Okay let’s begin! Thanksgiving…thanksgiving….right! I was going to say what I’m thankful for. First and foremost I am thankful for all the blessings God has given me and my family – especially recently as you will see. I’m thankful for my good health, my home, my beautiful wife who I love very much, our two kitties, and my job. I’m also thankful for my family. My mom especially because she is just the best.

This year we hosted my family and Lea’s family at our new home. I’ll be honest, I didn’t help at all. Lea did everything from cooking some of the food, to cleaning (which I helped with a little bit), to planning the whole thing. She did a great job! The day was a lot of fun and the food was excellent. Sadly, I had other things on my mind (see below) and I didn’t even think to take pictures of our spread. I do have a picture of me and Lea though!

It was great seeing both sides of the family and getting to share a meal together in our new home.

Alright let’s talk about the Bulls. I’m not sure where to start. They are not performing as well as I thought they would this season, HOWEVER, they have also just beaten the two best teams in the Eastern Conference in back to back games (Boston and Milwaukee), which gives me hope for this team – even though they lost to the Orlando Magic a week or two ago in what was an embarrassing game. Okay that’s enough about them, they’re just “meh” so far this season. I really just want to tell you what I’ve been teasing this whole time….

Lea and I got picked for adoption! (Oh yeah, if you didn’t know, we’ve been going through the adoption process). We were recently picked & matched with a birthmother and we are so thankful for her and so excited for this opportunity. That’s all I will say about this for now, but we are SO EXCITED!
