Whenever I hear Noah Kahan’s song Homesick, and he sings
“I got dreams but I can’t make myself believe them
Spend the rest of my life with what could have been”
It hits deep.
Thats why the line sticks with me.
I have dreams. I always have and always will. I’ve never been good at believing they could actually become anything more, though.
