Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

Monday was a great start to our week. Early in the morning, before I shut out everyone in my life to work for eight hours, Mr. O was up and ready to get the week going. After we got ourselves ready for the day, we came downstairs and turned on the movie Cars. Then, in the middle of the movie, Mr. O was distracted by the garbage truck outside, so he pushed his face up against the window to watch while he yelled “Garbage truck! Garbage truck!”. Then we played for a bit until I started working. After work, Lea and I showed Mr. O the movie Halloweentown, and he liked it for the most part, but there were times where it really scared him. We then decided we weren’t going to finish the movie because he would not stop talking about the ghosts, lol. While the movie was playing we ate dinner and played a bit before bedtime. After Mr. O went to sleep I watched some of the Pardon My Take episode I had missed earlier in the day.

On Tuesday I woke up early to try and workout downstairs. I was so tired, but I pushed myself to get dressed, eat, and get my butt in the basement. I didn’t do a full workout, but I did enough to feel good about myself. It’s better than not working out at all, right? The rest of the day I was still exhausted. I drove Mr. O to daycare and he talked the whoel car ride, lol. It was a nice conversation (when I could understand what he was saying). When the boss came home in the evening, all he wanted to do was snuggle. He was worn out from a day of playing outside. After an hour of laying around, we got back on the floor and played before going to bed. When Wednesday came around, Lea took Mr. O to my mom’s for the day. I spent the hour before work laying on the couch and watching videos on YouTube. It was a relaxing morning. Then, one of the most mentally exhausting days I’ve had, maybe ever, began when I signed into work.

I was recently placed on a very small team of four people to work alongside this new program our department is rolling out in order to increase productivity and quality. It is not as bad as I thought it would be but it’s been taking a lot of brainpower. All in all, I could not wait for the day to be over. After work, my mom brought Mr. O back home and he immediately wanted to go to the park. So, I grabbed my hat and sunglasses, along with his water bottle, and we walked to the park. He was so excited! On our way, we saw a ton of Halloween decorations around the neighborhood. He saw a bunch of skeletons and some ghosts, both of them are his current fear and interests, lol. At the park he wanted to start out on the swings, but only for a few minutes. Then we ran around the playground, going up and down the slides and through the tunnels. We had so much fun together. Eventually, we had to walk home, and it was a beautiful evening. When we came back, we raced through the yard to the front door, and when we walked inside, we reheadted our dinners and watched TV until bedtime. After Mr. O went to sleep, I watched the show What We Do In The Shadows to start off October in spirit of Halloween.

On Thursday I was up early again to complete another half-butt workout. It was short, but effective. Like I said before, it’s better than nothing! After I cleaned myself up, Mr. O was was calling for me. I went and got him ready for the day, and we played until my mom came to pick him up. They went back to her house for the day, again. On my lunch break I decided to go outside and take a walk around the neighborhood. It was peaceful and quiet. I really enjoyed it. In the evening, we ate dinner and then Lea and I watched the penultimate episode of Peacemaker. It was incredible!

On Friday, Mr. O was up at 1:30 AM. I went to get him and I brought him back into our room to sleep with me. Shortly after, he decided he wanted to sleep with his momma, so they went to sleep in the guest bedroom so they wouldn’t have to be woken up by my early alarm. Later that morning, when we were all awake for the day, I went into my office to work, while Lea and Mr. O cleaned up the house for our guests who were coming on Saturday. It was another mentally exhausting day, so I was thrilled when the clock struck five. In the evening, we watched Mr. O’s current obsession: Paw Patrol. He’s been loving it lately and is so cute when watching. We watched that and played, then he took a bath and we all called it a night.

On Saturday, all three of us slept in. It felt great! We eventually came downstairs, watched some Paw Patrol, cleaned up a bit more for our guests, and then got ourselves ready for the day. My cousin and his family were coming to visit from Michigan. They have an (almost) one year old boy, and him and Mr. O were meeting for the first time. They became friends quickly, and Mr. O was so nice when playing with him. Lea and I were so proud of him. He’s usually a little mean to babies, but he did well this time. After Mr. O napped, we grabbed the boys and went to Big John’s Farm Market & Greenhouse in Lowell, IN. It’s about fifteen minutes from our house. We had so much fun! The kid’s did too. There was so much to do there! They had some animals, tons of pumpkins, a tractor ride, a giant slide, and so much more that we didn’t have time to do this time. Take a look:

Just throwing this out there, no reason for it, I just wanted to share…I totally beat the crap out of my cousin when we raced down the slide. I was so much faster than him, he didn’t stand a chance. What a loser! He won’t read this, it’s okay, lol.

On our way out, Mr. O, Lea and I picked out a few pumpkins to take home and paint for Halloween.

The rest of the night was really fun. The kids played, went to bed, and then the four of us parents hung out and caught up on life. It was a great time.

On Sunday morning they went home. It’s always sad to see them go, but I know we will probably be seeing them again soon. Likely within the next six months, if I had to guess (hope). After they left, Mr. O and I played for a few hours, then I gave him a bath and put him down for a nap. In the evening, my mom, grandma, and in-laws came over for dinner. I cooked pork chops (boneless and bone-in), lamb chops, and chicken on the grill for everyone. I was super nervous but they all said they enjoyed it, so that’s good. To end the night, we are all sitting here watching Sunday night football, and will probably be going to bed within the next ten minutes or so, lol.

It was a fun, but exhausting, week. I hope you all have a great week ahead!

Peter
