Weekly Review 43

Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

On beautiful Monday morning, I took Mr. O to my moms. Once again, he did not want to me to leave and it broke my heart, but he get’s over it fast apparently! When I came home I turned on my computer and began my incredibly stressful work day. It’s not normally like this. Well, it is always a tad stressful, but not like this. On this day it was insane. I was running our senior-level team this week, and it drained me of all my energy and brain power. As the week went on it got better, but Monday was horrible! After work I was finally able to relax by walking with Mr. O to the park in our neighborhood. He had so much fun and made a new friend.

As Mr. O was climbing up stairs and going down slides, a five-year-old girl (who lives next door to the park, apparently), drove her little jeep over to the park and started chatting up a storm with Mr. O. He obviously did not know what she was saying since he is only two, but she was very polite and played with him for a few minutes. He was so happy! When I eventually convinced him to walk home with me, I gave him a bath and rocked him to sleep. I don’t recall if I’ve mentioned this before, but Mr. O wants to read five books before bedtime now, so that’s what we do, lol.

They are Goodnight, Thomas, Dinosaurs in Trucks Because Hey, Why Not?, You Are My Sunshine, DADA, and 8 Little Planets. Don’t quote me on those names, I’m just going off memory here. I’m going to try to swtich some of them out occasionally, but he loves these books right now.

On Tuesday I slept in a little bit. Lea took Mr. O to daycare while I logged on to what I thought would be another crazy day a work. To my surprise, it was not as busy as the previous day (thankfully). It went by quickly and before I knew it my little family was home. Lea made us dinner and we all played on the floor (because Mr. O taps the ground next to him and says “Sit”).

Wednesday and Thursday were normal days. I don’t have anything written for them. It was just the same old stuff. Woke up, either took Mr. O to my mom’s or she came to our house, worked, ate dinner, and went to sleep, lol. I’ll do better next week with my note taking!

Friday was one of the biggest days of the year for me! SUPERMAN is finally out in theaters and at 7 PM Lea and I were going to see it. The excitement I had all day cannot be described. One of my aunts came over around 6 PM, as I was rushing home with Mr. O since I picked him up from daycare. Then, we said goodnight to him and we were off to see ONE OF THE BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIES I’VE EVER SEEN (not exaggerating). It was so good, and I wrote all about it right when we came home Friday night, around 10 PM (?). You can read that HERE.

On Saturday morning Mr. O and I were sitting next to each other, both eating our own bowl of cheerios. It’s so funny how much he is just like me. It’s also a huge responsibility, and I know I have to be a better person since he copies my every action and word. A few hours later I went outside to cut the grass and then our family hung out the rest of the day. Playing, eating, watching TV occasionally. Then, at 7 pm I went to see SUPERMAN again, this time by myself, lol. Hey, don’t judge. I have waited over 10 years for a new Superman movie, and I have waited my whole life for one exactly like this! To me, it was just perfect. Hopeful, kind, friendly. That’s what I love to see in Superman.

On Sunday I had two friends come over to help me with some yardwork. Remember all the dirt, clay and rocks the concrete company left for us to use? Well, my friends helped me dig all the rock and most of the clay up so we can get it ready for some new topsoil and seeding. Hopefully I am able to do all of that soon, but really (in my amateur homeowner yardwork opinion) I have until the winter months to plant the seeds, so the grass will grow in the spring. At least that’s what this one guy told me who fertilizes our lawn. Now that I think about it, I don’t even know his name, so should I really trust him? Maybe. Maybe not. I think I’m going to go with yes. I will trust him on this and see what happens. Although, I will probably do all of this well before winter. Anyway, I’m very grateful to have friends like this, that will come and help me do manual labor for hours on the weekend. We were able to accomplish a lot and I’m very happy with what we did today.

This is a shorter review this week, and I hope no one is disappointed. My note taking skills were not good throughout the week, but I will be better! You’ll read about it next week, but Monday and Tuesday I am going downtown into our office for work, so I’m sure I’ll have much to say about that.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you stick around to read more of my Weekly Reviews.
