I finally saw SUPERMAN

Well, after hearing me talk about Superman (the character and movie) for years, I finally saw the new SUPERMAN!

It was incredible. It was everything I’ve wanted for the character and more. James Gunn gets it. It was like the movie was ripped straight out of a comic book.

It was fast paced, the camera work was incredible, although dizzying at times, and the castings proved to be so great. David Corenswet was phenomenal as Superman and Clark Kent. I love dorkie-ness he brought to the character. I love how hopeful this film was. They made Superman…well Superman. A friend, kind, dorky, but at the same time tough, and strong. They humanized him in a way I don’t think we’ve seen.

Rachel Brosnahan was good as Lois Lane. I enjoyed her performance and I hope to see more of her in other projects. I feel like she didn’t get enough time to flesh out Lois Lane in this movie, but she was good regardless.

Nicholas Hoult. What can I say? Incredible portrayal of Lex Luthor. So evil, such a genius, and a complete HATER. I’ve never seen anyone hate anything as much as his Lex hates Superman. He was phenomenal. Lea even said that he is her favorite Lex Luthor.

Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen was perfect. He was goofy and funny, and the running bit from the comics that he is a ladies man is hilarious. Loved him so much in the movie.

Really, everyone was great. From main cast to supporting cast. It’s a brilliant start to the new DCU. It just came out today in the U.S., so go see it! You won’t regret it.

They were selling this newspaper box (i don’t know what it’s actually called) and I had to buy one! It was such a fun experience and I can’t wait to go see it again.
