Weekly Review 14

Hello readers, followers, whatever you want to be called. Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

My reviews typically start on Monday’s but this week we will start on Tuesday. It was a normal day. I was working-from-home, Lea was watching Mr. O. Life was normal. The only thing different was we finally started making changes to our home! It was a small change but still exciting. We had someone come to paint our basement floor. I can’t believe we waited so long. It was so dirty and dusty for the last three years, but now it’s great. We can walk down there without our shoes and don’t have to worry about tracking anything back upstairs. Also, I can workout without inhaling all that nasty dust! Aside from that, Lea was able to set up Mr. O’s big tent for him to play in

He loves it but he does not want anything else in there lol. I tried putting his little couch in there for him to sit in but he picked it up and threw it out. He pretty much just sits in there by himself from time to time, or he chases the cats out of it lol.

On Wednesday I went into the office (even though I am a remote worker) because my boss asked me to come in for out holiday party. I didn’t mind. It was a nice break during the day to sit, eat, and chat with some co-workers. I heard there would be good food and I assumed it would be pizza like always. I was right, but it was very good lol. We had pizza, salad, wings, etc. I enjoyed about three slices of pizza and a few wings. After work I picked up Mr. O from my moms and we came home to hang out before he went to bed. We watched The Incredibles again. Great movie.

Thursday was my most exciting day this week. The Superman teaser trailer finally came out and it was INCREDIBLE. I loved it so much. I think I’ve watched it about twenty times now. It’s been over ten years since we saw the most famous hero in the world on the big screen, and this time they’re going to do it right. I’ll make a post eventually about the trailer and what I loved about it. On Thursday night Lea and I watched the last three episode on Surviving Barstool before they went on a holiday hiatus. That show is so entertaining. It’s basically Survivor but at Barstool’s office with their employees lol. Then, once we finished those, I watched the latest episode of DC Studios’ Creature Commandos. It was honestly the saddest comic book episode I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t believe it. Of course, I watched it twice lol. It was so sad though I just couldn’t look away and I couldn’t believe it. Another great show.

On Saturday I woke up to our driveway covered in snow. Once again I asked myself “why do we live here?” lol. Honestly I’ve thought about that a lot. My grandparents all came from Greece. They could have gone anywhere in the United States. Why the Midwest?! The weather can never make up it’s mind lol. Anyways, it didn’t take me too long and without the wind it was not that bad. Later in the afternoon Mr. O had two birthday parties to go to. One was for one of his little friends and the other was for one of his cousins. At both parties he did pretty much the same thing. He played with all the toys, played with some of the kids, had a blast. At his cousins party he kept stealing food off of people’s plates when they weren’t looking lol. He’s hilarious. I felt bad but also, you can’t just leave food around when kids are walking everywhere!

On Sunday we did a lot of moving around the house. Lea set up Mr. O’s playroom upstairs. We moved his tent up there, some of his toys, and cleaned it all up for him. He loves being up there. Then, I put together my bench press I bought and my home gym is coming together slowly, but surely. The Bears played today but I didn’t watch. Not because I couldn’t, but I chose not to. I am honestly feeling so hopeless about every single Chicago team that I root for. They all suck. The White Sox will never have success. The Bulls will never have success. Management and ownership suck and have no intention of improving the organization. The Bears are going to ruin Caleb Williams and will not have success. I’m done getting my hopes up for these teams and honestly, I might be done watching them all together. What’s the point? The players don’t care, the organizations don’t care. Why should the fans? What’s the point?

On Sunday evening Mr. O and I went to dinner with my mom. We ate at this place called Cheers that we go to a lot and then we drove Mr. O around to look at all the fancy Christmas lights around town. Lots of ooo’ing and aww’ing from him. Sometimes he’d say “COO” because he thought it was so cool. He was in awe of some of the decorations lol He had a blast.

That was my week in review!

Peter
