I’ll be honest with you all. I forgot to write this on Sunday…and Monday….BUT…here I am tonight lol.
I would say Lea enjoyed her Mother’s Day this year. Why wouldn’t she? It was beautiful day outside, and we had a really enjoyable family day. It started in the morning. I woke up with Baby O and we let “momma”, as Baby O likes to call her, sleep in. She claims she “didn’t want to sleep in this late” but we all know that’s a lie.
When she finally came downstairs around nine or ten a.m., I made her some waffles just the way she likes them – in the toaster. I’m a master chef in case you guys didn’t know. I cook all the time. I make cereal, I grill meat, I put frozen food in the toaster and I make a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I really should have my own cooking show.
Anyways, after we spent some time together I had to cut the grass. So I did that and everything that goes along with it. By the time I was done and showered it was 12:30 or 1 in the afternoon (I can’t remember) and we headed out to Cedar Lake for our little family picnic that I mentioned in my latest Exploring the Region post. It was so much fun and so beautiful outside. Baby O had a blast!

He loved watching the water crash against the shore and he really enjoyed the jet skier’s and all the boats floating by. He was also somewhat amused by the dogs being walked. However, I think the thing he enjoyed most of all was his little bubble – gun. He really loves bubbles and how they splash onto his face. He tries to catch them too lol. But most of all, he loved putting his finger inside the holes where the bubbles come out and touching the fan, which continuously stopped it from moving, which then led to him being confused why no more air or bubbles were coming out. It was a long twenty minutes or so.
Now you know the rest, as I explained in my last post. We went to the museum and really enjoyed it. After that we went home, made dinner, and just hung out. It was a really great day, and I do believe Lea loved it.
Lea, thank you for being the best mom in the world for our little baby boy. We appreciate and love you so much!
Love, Peter and Baby O
