Hi, tonight I wanted to see what was trending on X (formerly Twitter). I thought it’d be fun and maybe a little funny since it’s one of the most ridiculous platforms on the internet. Don’t get me wrong, it has a lot of good information on there, but the things that us users get trending sometimes can be so strange and humorous. Anyways, let’s start. 

Keep in mind these aren’t in the order they’re ranked. Just the order I found them lol. *Also some of them may not be funny!* First up, #CERN. If you’ve followed along the last couple of years, you’ve probably heard me discuss CERN at least once (if not you can check it out here). There are a lot of theories and conspiracies out there about CERN. From it being some satanic worshipping center (or something along those lines), or a place where they are experimenting with other dimensions and traveling through time (which would be really cool, unless they screwed up our timeline, which is likely and would be a great explanation for why our world has turned into what it is), CERN has captured the imaginations of many people. 

Today on X I saw it was trending, so I went to check it out and this is what I found. 1. CERN is “going live” with their Hadron Collider on the same day as the solar eclipse and NASA is apparently “firing 3 rockets at it!!” 

2. Apparently, the “particle collider can accelerate protons at a rate that’s only 7 mph slower than the speed of light” and with that, CERN has been conducting experiments since 2016, which has “conspiracy theorists” convinced “CERN was opening portals in the sky when photos taken near the facility revealed strange electromagnetic storms above it.” 

I’m looking at that picture right now and it does look strange. It looks pretty cool, but as we all know it can also be fake. I’m obviously not shooting down or making fun of any of these people on X saying these things. I share their thoughts that something strange is going on at CERN, but I really don’t know enough or have any evidence to point my finger at anything. 

The next trending topic is Diddy, aka Sean Combs. If you didn’t see the news break earlier this week, Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security Investigations. “Since November, Combs has been hit with five lawsuits in New York accusing him of sexual assault, sexual trafficking and engaging in other criminal activity. Combs has denied all of the allegations, calling them sickening (NBC News).” Obviously he is innocent until proven guilty, and since I don’t know much more than what this article states I won’t speculate on what’s going on or if he’s innocent or guilty. It’s just a wild and disturbing story and it was trending so I wanted to share it. You can read the full article here: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegations: Timeline and what to know.

Lastly, Opening Day is trending. That’s right, the MLB is back and my Chicago White Sox will probably not do much winning this year (if what I’m reading is correct). As my readers know I’m not a huge baseball fan, but I’ve been trying, over the last couple of years, to get into it and enjoy it more. It’s fun and exciting seeing all the die – hard fans go nuts for their teams on X. Maybe one day I’ll be a fraction of what these people are haha. I can’t wait for it to be warm and to go sit at a Sox game with Lea and hang out; enjoying baseball as the breeze comes through with an ice cold…Dip ‘n Dots in my hand. That’s right, Dip ‘n Dots. It’s the best, and I love it. Hopefully I’ll get to eat it again someday (maybe I’ll explain in another post. I’ll just say, my stomach doesn’t agree with certain foods sometimes lol). Anyways, yes, I am trying to get in to baseball and hopefully this is the year because I really enjoy the White Sox and I want to follow along more closely!
