Life – Work, Colds, and Anniversary

Good evening region rats! I have a little life update and, as always, I wanted to share it with you.

First, I want to start by saying I finally heard back about that work from home position in my department and I got it! Starting Tuesday I will be working from my home office for a long time (hopefully). While it was sad spending my last day in the office today, I am glad I can get out of the Chicago cold and stay home with Baby O. It will be so nice and convenient for all of us. 

The one thing I will miss most about my commute is Chicago in the spring and summer. It’s so beautiful and the walk to work when I get off the train is great. Other than that, there isn’t too much I’ll miss about going in there lol (other than my co – workers). 

Second, Baby O had his first head cold this week. It only lasted a day or two. By last night he was starting to feel so much better. All that sleep must have paid off lol. This kid kept us up all night last night. He got a sudden burst of energy around 11pm and did not want to sleep. Thankfully, I have the best wife and she took him to another room so I could sleep because I had to get up at 4am to get ready for my last day in Chicago. 

Which leads me to my third, and final, update for tonight. Yesterday Lea and I had our TEN YEAR anniversary. I cannot believe how long it’s been. We shared our first kiss going into the new year in 2014, and it’s been amazing ever since. Lea, if you’re reading this (which is doubtful tonight since you’re already in bed lol) I love you so much and I wouldn’t want to spend a decade of my life with anyone else. Thank you for loving me and just being the best.
