Superman: Legacy casting updates

Every time they announce a new cast member I get more and more excited for this movie. I honestly think it will be fantastic. Maybe the best Superman movie we’ve seen (I might be exaggerating, but you get the point).

Over the last two days there were four casting announcements – and I love them all! It is so hard to tell which direction this movie will go since there are so many characters. It feels like this movie will be packed, but I trust James Gunn to keep the focus on Superman.

I doubt all of these characters have significant screen time. At most they will each have a few scenes to show that this world (the DC Universe) already has heroes in it.

Anyways, let’s get to the news! As you know, David Corenswet is Superman and Rachel Brosnahan is Lois Lane. That’s old news now lol. They’re going to be great. Yesterday we got the news that Nicholas Hoult will be playing Lex Luthor. I’ve read the deal isn’t done yet, but he is most likely our new Luthor. I haven’t seen his previous work (that I can recall), but I hope he does well.

Maria Gabriela de Faria has been cast as The Engineer. This character is part of The Authority. It’s strange because Gunn said this team wasn’t in the movie, but maybe just one character. Anyways, this is awesome and I think she’s going to do well!

Sara Sampaio has been cast as Eve Teschmacher. This is a character I was not expecting. We haven’t seen Eve in a big movie role since Superman The Movie. Eve is Lex Luthor assistant. This will be interesting to see how she fits into the story. I’m excited!

Skyler Gisondo has been cast as one of my favorite Superman characters: Jimmy Olsen. Lois Lanes “sidekick” and Superman’s Pal. He’s a photographer for the daily planet. This is going to be so awesome. James Gunn is casting not only by talent but by comic accuracy as well.

As I said, this movie is packed with great characters. I can’t wait to see it! Here is the full list of all the characters so far:

I hope you all get to see it!
