Bulls media day

Today was the Chicago Bulls media day. The day where the general managers, the coach, and some players speak to the media and take a bunch of pictures. Of course, it’s just the same old crap as every year from management.

“We believe in continuity with this team.” Yeah, okay, you say that every single year and nothing changes. Sure, you guys brought in a couple new players this off – season, but I don’t see that making a huge difference. My prediction is the Bulls will land somewhere between 8th and 10th seed in the Eastern Conference.

Obviously, being a fan, I hope they prove me wrong. I’d love for them to be a top 5 seed. Can they do that? Sure, anything is possible, but I have given up being optimistic on this group (and Chicago sports as a whole. Don’t get me started on the Bears!). I still believe Zach LaVine can be a superstar, especially now that he is healthy, but the team in general is just not good enough.

Teams around the eastern conference are loading up on talent, and spending tons of money to do it. What is Chicago doing? Nothing. They’re one of the biggest markets in the league! But that is to be expected when ownership does not care. Milwaukee just traded for Damien Lillard, so now he is teaming up with Giannis and the eastern conference is basically won by the Bucks already. It’s going to be a rough season for the Bulls, but gosh I am so glad Bulls basketball is almost back. I know I sound like I hate the Bulls most of the time, but I don’t, not in the slightest. I just really, REALLY dislike the owners of the team (as you can probably tell).

Again, I hope they prove me wrong! I would love nothing more than a season finishing in the top 5, and a second – round – playoff appearance.

That’s my rant for tonight.  I hope you enjoyed it lol!
