Blue Beetle Movie Review

Tonight I went to see the newest DC movie Blue Beetle. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

There were so many great moments, but I’m not going to spoil the movie for anyone. I will tell you about everything I liked though. 

First and foremost I LOVED how emotional and family – oriented this movie was. It was really great and I love how the two most recent DC movies (The Flash & Blue Beetle) really went all – in on expressing how important family is. 

The movie was also action – packed with tons of great battle scenes. Even the non – battle scenes were cool! The writing was fantastic as well and the acting was obviously great otherwise I wouldn’t be saying all these good things lol. Xolo Maridueña did an amazing job as Jamie Reyes/Blue Beetle. I honestly can’t see anyone else in the role. Bruna Marquezine also did great as Jenny Kord. Both of these characters will appear in the new DCU and I’m so pumped for it! 

Speaking of, there was mention of Jenny Kords father (Ted Kord), who was the second, but most well – known, Blue Beetle. Now, a bit of a spoiler (not really though), in the movie they tell us Ted Kord disappeared. So they didn’t say he was dead….which leads me to believe he will make an appearance in the DCU! I hope so. Honestly, when they said he disappeared my first thought was that he was time – traveling with Booster Gold. They’re best buds and I would be thrilled if that’s where he was during the events of this movie. 

I can’t wait for Jamie Reyes to meet those two lol. In the comics they’re always so funny and goofy together so in live – action movies it will be really good! One last thing about the movie – the first post credit scene (there are two) was awesome! 

That’s all I’ll say about it now I don’t want to spoil anything. It was a great movie and I highly recommend going to see it with your family!
