Chicago Bulls finally change things up

But is for the better? Maybe. We will just have to wait and see

Finally. The day us Bulls fans have been waiting for. The Chicago Bulls organization are finally making a change. Is it a big change? No. But it might help the players (and the team) a lot.

Per NBC Sports Chicago’s K.C. Johnson, Chicago Bulls to hire familiar player development coach Peter PattonThe Bulls have been horrible developing their younger players – as I’ve said many times before. So hiring a new person to help develop them, and their veteran players, will hopefully change things up and make this team better.

While Patton’s title isn’t expected to mention shooting and is expected to be director of player development, he worked as a shooting coach for both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Maverick’s.” As a player development coach it is very possible he will help this team improve their shooting. As K.C. mentions, “Patton, who set the DePaul single – season 3 – point shooting mark by connecting at 54.1 percent, also has a history with renowned shooting coach Chip Engelland.”

This is good. Especially for Coby White. He is already a decent shooter, so if this new guy is as good as people are implying, then I expect a great season from Coby. Actually, I expect Coby to start at point guard, since we received the sad news that the Bulls (privately) believe Lonzo Ball will never play basketball again. It’s sad. He is a very talented player, and I believe he’s only twenty – five or twenty – six. Seeing someone with his high ceiling lose his career due to injury its horrible. Hopefully, he beats the odds and becomes the first player to come back full – strength after the type of surgery he’s having.

Beside this, it’s being reported the Bulls are calling other teams to see what they could potentially get for…Zach LaVine… Is this a joke? Are they as stupid as I think they are? Why would they ever trade him while they keep Vucevic and DeRozan? Zach is the guy you keep and build around. Trade Demar, trade whoever you can to get solid players around Zach. But they won’t do that, which sucks.

Overall, I’m excited for the new season, but I’m also a bit of a pessimist. What reason do I have to be really excited? This team and organization has let us fans down long enough. However, this is a step in the right direction, and I am very interested to see how this helps the team improve.
