Chicago Bulls trade rumors and thoughts

It seems like as soon as I spoke about the Bulls the other day, more and more news and rumors have been coming out about them lol. Well, get ready because today there will be more Bulls talk!

It’s being reported on Twitter and elsewhere, that the Chicago Bulls are considering reshaping their roster to work around Zach LaVine – making him the number one option on the team. What can I say beside FINALLY! Listen, they gave this man a max contract, making him the highest paid player on the team and they didn’t make him the number one option last season. It makes zero sense to me. So, finally, they are going to hopefully give him a “supporting cast” that helps me excel and succeed, which would also help the team succeed.

It just blows my mind. I don’t know why the general managers and coaches are just now thinking of doing this. Yes, we have Demar DeRozan and Vucevic (who we will get to in a moment), but they paid Zach LaVine the most money, making him the face of the franchise. Why wasn’t he always the number one option? It’s just pure stupidity on the organizations part.

There are also rumors linking the Bulls to a potential trade with the Phoenix Suns, where they would send Demar DeRozan to Phoenix for Deandre Ayton. Honestly, at this point I wouldn’t mind this trade. Ayton is a young, athletic center and I think he could fit in well in Chicago. It was also reported a possible swap of Nikola Vucevic for Deandre Ayton was on the table as well.

It’s all just rumors right now, so we will see what happens. I wouldn’t mind any of these trades, as long as Zach remains the number one option for the Bulls. I think he is going to do really well next season. This past season he had a rough year. He had another knee surgery and he was still finding his rhythm. Towards the end of the season we were starting to see the potential he has.

Let’s hope I am right. Go Bulls!
