Easy at – home workout!

Hello, happy Tuesday! Honestly, these days are starting to blend together so I never really know what day it is anymore (unless I actually check the calendar) lol. I can take an educated guess but that’s about it!

First, I wanted to say thank you to those who read the first post of my Get to know series. I appreciate your support! If you didn’t get around to reading it, and enjoy history, click HERE.

My first post is about Abraham Lincoln. I found it so interesting and it was really enjoyable to research. As I said in that post, I wrote a short biography of Lincoln, and used what I thought was important and interesting. If you want more details please see my citation list at the bottom of the post.

Today has been going by a little slower than usual and I don’t mind at all. We’re supposed to be getting another bad round of storms tonight and tomorrow but so far it doesn’t seem like it at all. It’s beautiful out!

Earlier, I went for a nice twenty – minute walk and listened to some music. Not only was it relaxing, but it was my first time exercising in MONTHS! Once I came home I went down stairs and did a thirty – minute workout too. It felt great.

If anyone is wondering, here is my at – home workout routine. Keep in mind you will need a pull – up bar (one that can also be used for tricep dips) and two twenty five pound dumbbells.

The exercises (This is my order, but you can do them however you want):

  • 20 minute walk and/or run (optional. I rarely do this part lol).
  • 20 pushups
  • 10 inside grip pullups (10 more optional. Really depends on how you’re feeling).
  • 25 sitting shoulder (on each side)
  • 25 standing shoulder shrugs
  • 20 dumbbell curls sitting and standing
  • 20 diamond pushups
  • 20 reverse lunges
  • 50 calf raises (I use the bottom of my pull up bar machine, but you can use anything really. Stairs, sturdy boxes, etc.)
  • 10 outside grip pullups (Again, 10 more optional)
  • 30 second abdominal scissor kicks (or 50 total)
  • 30 second abdominal flutter kicks (or 50 total)
  • 30 second plank
  • 15 abdominal V – ups (You can watch how to do them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP2fjvG0g3w )
  • 20 more pushups
  • 10 dips

I didn’t do this whole workout today, but I usually do. It feels great and if done consistently (something I’ve been having trouble with), I think it can really pay off.

Now that I’ve showered and everything, Lea and Baby Oliver are asleep on the couch, so I really have nothing to do except write, play video games, or watch TV lol. And I’m pretty much done writing after this!

I hope you all have a great day!

Peter
