My Day’s Off

As I said yesterday, I’ve had these last two days off. It’s been nice and relaxing, but there isn’t a whole lot to do. It’s freezing outside, and inside there’s only so much I can do. Still, it was a fun two days!

I started my Tuesday off by going to the gym. I couldn’t do the full amount of weight this time since I cut my hand. It’s a pretty bad cut and I didn’t want a lot of pressure on it. So I did extra cardio and half the weight I normally lift. It was still a good workout! When I came home I showered and got myself ready for the day (keep in mind my day started around 6 in the morning lol). Once I was finished cleaning myself up and cuddling my cats, I finally headed downstairs.

I had the whole day ahead of me. So much I can do, so little I wanted to do. I started by folding some laundry and watching a couple Christmas movies! First, I put on Christmas Vacation. Such a fun and light movie. It had me laughing a lot! Next I watched A Christmas Story. This one was pure nostalgia. It reminded me of when my brother and I were kids and we would all go to my grandmas house for Christmas Day. That was always so much fun. Me, my brother, my dad, and my uncle would sit in the family room and watch A Christmas Story because it was on all day, non-stop. I always looked forward to that day. It was always so much fun, when my dad and brother were still here. I miss them, but I know they’re here still.

After my movies I watched the World Cup. Argentina beat the snot out of Croatia and I was not expecting it to be so brutal. Since the USA is out of the tournament I figured I would root for Messi and Argentina since it might be his last chance to win. Still, it was a fun and exciting game to watch. Once that was over I did some light cleaning (just did the dishes) and cooked dinner. I made my mom’s recipe for chicken and rice. I’m not the best cook most nights, so it was alright. Not the best dish I ever made!

Lastly, I finished reading A Christmas Carol. My Christmas novel I chose to read this year. It was good, as always. After that I watched A Christmas Story Story. It’s the sequel to the original and its on HBO Max. It was okay. It wasn’t great or anything, but it was tolerable.

Today I chilled out a little bit more. I had a doctor appointment, and then came home lol. Pretty easy day. I actually started my own side project that I’ll hopefully share with you all one day. Right now I just want to keep it for me, ya know? We will see where it goes. Besides that, I played some playstation and now I am preparing to go to the hallmark store to buy my annual Christmas ornament – a tradition my dad, brother and I used to do together every year. Then my mom and I are going to the Bulls game! It should be a fun night!
