Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

Our week started really early Monday morning, when Mr. O woke up and wanted to sleep with me. The little man came and got cozy in our bed and then we passed out again. Many hours later (still in the morning) Lea took Mr. O to his tumbling class. He apparently had so much fun! I heard he was the only child who was not scared of how tall the slide was, and that he ran up there right away to slide down it. He’s so funny, I love his little personality. He just likes to do things. Whatever that may be. In the evening, Lea made us spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner. Then, Mr. O and I played in his playroom. I was playing with his T-rex dinosaur, while he was playing with Buzz Lightyear, and the two were enemies! The dino and Buzz battled to many deaths, and fought all across the playroom. Then, finally, Buzz delivered the final blow and won the fight. After the battle, Mr. O got ready for bed, and after he fell asleep, I also went to sleep, lol. Early night!

On Tuesday I was up early. Unfortunately, Mr. O was actually sleeping in for once and I had to wake him. I was taking him to daycare and he has to be up by a certain time so we can be out the door by another certain time in order for me to be home in time to start work, lol. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, and his daycare is only about twenty minutes away, so it works out. After work, Lea and Mr. O came home and I made us cheeseburgers. Then, we all hung out together until it was time for bed.

I was up early once again Wednesday morning and I used my time wisely. First, I did some light reading while I ate my breakfast. Then, I did the dishes and cleaned up a little bit in the kitchen. Once Mr. O was up my day went on as normal. I got him ready for the day, we hung out for a bit, and then I went to work. Around midday I smelled something delicious coming from our kitchen. My office is right next to our kitchen so I smell whatever Lea is cooking up. On Wednesday she was making banana bread. She baked two loafs: one for her friends and one for our family. In the evening, we ate dinner, played, gave Mr. O a bath and put him down to sleep. Then I had a big chunk of banana bread, felt horrible about it (although it was delicious), and walked for one hour on the treadmill as I watched Nashville. After that I felt much better about myself!

When Thursday came around I got myself up early again. I went downstairs immediately to eat and do more light reading, then I tried to do a light workout since it’s been a while since I really, fully lifted weights. Turns out, my body was still too weak from my illness. I was able to do just about everything except finish my bench press set. It’s okay, it’s better than nothing! After I showered and prepared for the day, Mr. O was awake. I took him a bottle of milk and sat in the rocking chair while he sat in his crib drinking. I asked him the usual “How did you sleep? What did you dream about?” He responded, “Good. Animals.” Lol. I wonder what animals he dreamt about. I should have asked, but I was caught off guard because he usually doesn’t answer that question. We went downstairs and he was playing with his toys while I watched Wake Up Barstool on FS1. I never watched it before but decided to give it a try. It was too early for sports for me, Lol.

In the afternoon we discovered Mr. O had a stomach bug. Our poor little guy was not feeling well at all. After work I cuddled my little boy while Lea went to get her hair cut. It looks beautiful, by the way! Some of you might think I am saying that on here because I forgot to mention it when she came home or something, but nope! I told her it looked great, I just wanted to say it again. So no worries, your favorite blogger is not in any trouble. After her haircut, Lea went to pick up dinner for us. She brought home Cheers and we tried to give Mr. O some lemon rice soup. He had some, but obviously was not up for eating much at the moment. We let him sleep in our bed with us and we had a movie night. I finally was able to watch the new Superman with him! Well, at least half of it. He fell asleep, Lol. He did love it though and requested it again on Friday. We slept in on Friday and everyone felt terrible. Mr. O because he is sick. Lea and I because we were up all night with him. When I got up, Lea and Mr. O were still knocked out, so I snuck around so I didn’t wake them. I went downstairs because it was very windy in the morning and it blew the bolt out of our fence door again, which makes it swing open. So I had to go outside and fix it (again).

After I came back in and got ready for the day, my loving family was finally awake. I helped get Mr. O ready for the day, we played, and we rested, before I had to go to work. In the evening, Lea went to pick up dinner again (It was a tiring end to the week, okay?!). Mr. O slept in our bed all weekend, so him and Lea went to up early to watch a movie, and I played Madden to relax for a bit. Once again, we were up with Mr. O in the middle of the night because of his stomach bug, so we put on Toy Story at 3 AM until he fell back asleep. On Saturday morning Mr. O and I watched this new show he is into called PJ Masks. We played for a bit and then a few hours later he was exhausted and ready for his nap with his mama. So they slept and I played Madden again. Everything was fine as I was coaching the Browns – until it wasn’t! They fired me! A video game fired ME, Lol. It’s okay, though, because my coach, Jackie Daytona, was rehired by the Tennessee Titans. Which is kind of full circle because a few years ago I created Jackie Daytona as a quarterback for the Titans and he won them two superbowls. So the fact that he is the head coach now is really awesome. This all sounds so lame typing it out but in my head it sounds better.

In the evening, there was a HUGE football game. Bears vs. Packers. The oldest, the best, the most intense and emotional rivalry there is in the NFL. I don’t “hate” Packers fans. Not personally, anyway. It’s all in good fun. However, I can’t stand the Packers organization. Again, no hate. I’ve been trying to stop “hating” and using the word hate lately, but I cannot stand them. I’m sure they feel the same about the Bears organization as well. Anyway, it was the Bears first playoff game in over a decade and of course, as if it’s a script written by Hollywood, the first game is against their oldest rival, who typically always wins. I went over to my friend Toby’s house, and was accompanied by our friends Zak and Matt. Toby’s new house has this great four seasons room, so we bundled up and watched the game out there. Overall the night was a lot of fun, but that game was going to give me a heart attack. There’s a reason they’re known as the cardiac Bears this season, Lol.

The game started and the Bears were getting whooped. All the way until the end of the game. That’s when their triumphant comeback started.

This is how the game was. The Bears had an incredible, historic comeback to win the game in the last moments. Caleb Williams was incredible! DJ Moore was incredible! Ben Johnson was incredible! Everything and everyone was perfect in those last moments. I still can’t believe it, but I should have expected it. The Bears played this way the entire season:

It’s been an amazing season for the Bears and I am excited to finally be in the second round of the playoffs. I’m so proud of this team and the organization. I never thought I’d say that, but it’s true.

That’s my QB! Shred that cheese! Love him.

When I came home around 11:30 PM, Lea and Mr. O were knocked in our bed. Then when I walked into the room, Mr. O popped his head up, saw me, and said “YAY!” Lol. So we put on a movie for a bit until he fell back asleep, as I scrolled X to see Packers fans complaining, crying, freaking out, and calling for their coach’s head. It was a great night.

On Sunday I woke up around 8 to Mr. O telling me “Dada the sun is out”. It was really cute. I am so energized on such little sleep, and so happy too. I still cannot believe the Bears won that game. Just incredible! I used that word a lot in this post, and it doesn’t do what happened justice, but I am just so happy. I don’t know what else to say.

When Mr. O and I came downstairs, we ate, played, and watched a little TV. A few hours I gave him a bath and then put him down for a nap, by himself! Finally, he is sleeping in his crib again, lol. Then, Lea and I took down all of our Christams decorations, Lea cleaned up the kitchen and went grocery shopping. Currently, I am finishing up this post because Mr. O woke up from his nap earlier than expected. It was an okay week. I usually say great, but my boy was sick and there is nothing great about that! However…the weekend, specifcially Saturday, was AMAZING! Again, I’m so proud of this team!!! GO BEARS! BEAR DOWN!
