Weekly Review 67

Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

On Monday morning I had some extra time before the rest of my household woke up, so I was able to do a little bit of reading. It’s always nice to be able to read a few pages in the mornings, but I rarely have that chance these days (for obvious reasons lol). I used to like reading in the evenings, but now I am always so exhausted from work and parenting that I lose focus on my book and my mind wanders; my eyes get heavy, and it’s just really tough for me to do at night. I was thankful for the extra time I had Monday morning, but was more thankful when Mr. O was up, because that meant I was able to spend some extra time with him. When I brought him downstairs, I served him a plate of waffles, yogurt, and a chopped up banana. He ate the yogurt right away, munched on some of the banana, but left the waffles for a while. He eventually ate it, he always takes his time though, Lol. Before I went to work, we played a little bit with his new airplane toy he received for Christmas. He loves that toy.

My work day was so chaotic and busy. I was thrilled when it was over. Lea and I decided to order dinner from Aurelio’s, and I went to go pick it up about an hour later. Our little family finished the night eating dinner and playing. After Mr. O went to sleep, I watched A Christmas Carol. I love that movie.

On Tuesday morning, I worked on my second-to-last cousins fantasy football newsletter. It’s sad the season is ending, but I will say…It will be nice not to worry about a newsletter ever single week for a while! After Mr. O and Lea got up, we decided not to send him to daycare this week. It was too close to Christmas and we didn’t want to chance him catching anything. Instead, Mr. O got to spend the day at his Yiayia’s house (my mom’s). He loves going there, so it was a good alternative. After work, I went to pick up Mr. O, and when we came home Lea was finishing up dinner for all of us. Once I finished dinner I sent out my newsletter, put Mr. O to sleep, then Lea and I wrapped presents and watched It’s a Wonderful Life. I really love that movie (as most of you know).

Wednesday was Christmas Eve. I was up early and not feeling too great. I trimmed my beared, got myself ready for the day, and then Mr. O was awake. This had to be the longest, early-release day at work ever. I felt horrible, we were so busy, and it was just a lot. After work we went to my aunt’s house for her annual Christmas Eve party. It was a lot of fun and Mr. O had a blast. When we came home I had the worst chills of my life and felt even worse. I haven’t had an illness knock me on my butt like this in years. Once Thursday (Christmas day) came around, I was able to get up and open presents with Mr. O and Lea, but after that I slept almost all day. I felt horrible. Both because I was sick and because I was missing the entire holiday with my boy. It needed to be done though. That whole day of sleep was very helpful to me in the long run. Anyways, enough about my illness. Mr. O LOVED his gifts. He received two gifts from Santa (a real Buzz and Woody doll from the Disney Store) and the rest were from “Momma” and “Dada”. Lea said he spent the whole day playing with all of his new toys and he had so much fun with our family that came over. Thankfully, everyone else was here to keep him happy and to play with him. It wasn’t a great Christmas on my end, but I’m glad Mr. O had a blast.

Unfortunately, this is all I have for the week. Like i said, I haven’t had an illness knock me on my butt like this in years, so I didn’t keep notes for the rest of the week. I was in bed sleeping, eating, and binge watching Nashville. I will say this though, today is Sunday night as I write this, and I am starting to feel like myself again. Hopefully this is a sign that I will be better soon!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a great week!

Peter
