Weekly Review 62

Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

Monday was a long, tiring day at work. The work keeps coming in and piling up, and sometimes it feels like there’s no end in sight. On the other hand, the day goes by way faster, so there’s that! In the middle of the day, my sister-in-law came into town to visit for a few days and drop off her (our niece’s) cat. We’re going to watch her for a few months and our cats (Baby Ruth and Winston) are not happy about it. They’ll get over it eventually. Daisy is a sweet girl. She loves to cuddle and she just lays around all day, lol. When I got off work, I hung out with our family and played with Mr. O. There was also more drama in my cousins fantasy football league, but I will save you the trouble of reading about nonsense, lol. Later in the evening, I gave Mr. O a bubble bath and then Lea and I got him ready for bed. When I went back downstairs I watched about half of the movie Wicked with Lea and her sister. It was okay.

I wasn’t that interested in it. It’s not because it’s a musical, I don’t mind those at all, I just don’t care for whatever story they were trying to tell. It never grabbed my full attention. Anyway, about halfway through I went upstairs to lay down. On Tuesday morning, Mr. O and I took a drive [to daycare]. I came home with a few minutes to spare before work, so I quickly turned on my laptop and prepared for the buys day. After work I finished my cousins fantasy football newsletter and played with Mr. O. He’s been really into his trucks and dinosaurs lately. I mean, he is always “in to” those things, but it’s been more than usual lately. No other toys matter! After he went to bed, I started my second season as Rusty Spoons, Chicago Bears head coach. We won our first game 35-7 and it seemed as if this season was going to be a breeze. Oh, how I was wrong. After that first win, we went into overtime and tied our second game. Then we lost to the Packers (ARGH!) by 3 points in another overtime game, and then we got demolished by the Falcons. A true butt-kicking! Later in the week we were able to get back on track and win some games.

Not much happened on Wednesday. We woke up and played with Mr. O before I started work. It was another busy day, but when by quickly. Then I played with my boy some more, lol. Easy, simple day. On Thursday I woke up early because Mr. O always wakes up early, but we think this is the day when he started going through another growth spurt. Our littel boy is not so little anymore! It’s so sad, yet so beautiful to watch him grow. He’s really gone from a little baby, so a little toddler boy in the blink of an eye. Since he slept in, I spent my morning watching some YouTube videos and taking notes on them. I’ve been really into listening to these videos of Orthodox priests talk about God, the Chuch, life, etc. So whenever I have some time I enjoy putting one or two on. After work it was time for Mr. o to get his first haircut! His little curls are gone…

We got our family pictures back! Will discuss soon.

As soon as she snipped that first curl, we were so sad. Lea almost cried! His little baby hairs were getting chopped off, but it was time. His hair needs to thicken up, lol. We went to this new place, that opened up earier this year, called Magic Mirror Kids Salon in Dyer, Indiana. The owner was so nice and was very good with Mr. O. He loved it in there! They had toys to play with, and if you click on the website link, you’ll see the chairs she has in there are cool little cars or airplanes! Of course, Mr. O had to sit in Lightning McQueen. He had a blast and his haircut looks great. After we dragged him out of the salon, we went to Cheers for dinner. My mom let us last minute, and Mr. O went nuts when he saw her walking in: “Yiayia! Yiayia! Over here! Over here!” he shouted throughout the entire restaurant, lol. It was a fun night with great food (as usual).

On Friday, Mr. O slept in again, so I worked on the current week’s newsletter for fantasy football. Then, I did the dishes and tried to stretch a little bit. I pulled something in my back again and it’s been really bothering me. I don’t know why I always have these issues. I guess I need to start stretching more before I really screw up my back. After work, we played with Mr. O while driving his little trains around the track. Then we gave him a bubble bath, but this time he had to have train sounds playing while he was in the bath, so I found a playlist on Spotify and turned on “Choo-choo sounds”. After he fell asleep, I walked on the treadmill for a little over an hour while I tried to play PlayStation. Terrible idea! I cannot play and walk at the same time, lol (this was the night I got destroyed in Madden). I turned the games off and watched an episode of Smallville instead. It felt great to walk for that long!

On Saturday, we all slept in. It was amazing! After Lea woke up and got ready, she packed her things and headed down south to go visit with her family. She was going to see the new Wicked movie with our nieces and her sister and sister-in-law. So, that meant Mr. O and I had the house to ourselves for the day. We played, he napped, I worked out, and then when he woke up we got dressed and drove out to my mom’s house. Mr. O hadn’t been there in a long time, and I had to move her patio furniture for the winter season. Two of my cousins, who are home from college for Thanksgiving break, came over too so they could spend time with Mr. O. He loves seeing them! I also set up this Aura Frame we bought my mom last year. If you don’t know, it’s one of those frames that hooks to wifi, and it’s digital, so I can upload pics on there for my mom and it will go through a slideshow of pictures for her. I put around 70 on there and almost all of them were just of Mr. O. That’s all she really cares about anyway! Lol.

When Mr. O and I left, we went to Target to pick up a few things. First, we needed more cat food because we have three cats in our house now. Second, we needed another litter box because our two cats are divas and won’t go downstairs to eat or use the bathroom because of the new cat, so I had to put a new box upstairs, lol. Lastly, I needed to buy Mr. O more milk because this kid drinks his milk so fast! It was a fun, quick trip. I found a couple other things to buy Mr. O for Christmas, too. He really wanted these Buzz and Woody toys we saw in the toy isle. So either I’ll get them for him or I will just tell Santa to bring them. Either way, he’s going to unwrap them on Christmas Day.

We also got our family pictures/fall photos/Christmas pictures back on this day! Here is a few of just me and Lea, because I don’t feel like editing out Mr. O’s face, lol. Isn’t she beautiful!?! (The answer is YES).

On Sunday morning, around 2 AM, Mr. O was up screaming. I went into this room and he demanded, through all his tears, that I change his diaper. he chugged water before bed, so I wasn’t surprised his diaper was so full, lol. So I changed him, and then brought him into my bed to sleep with me. We ended up sleeping in until 8 AM, so it was too late to hurry and get reay for church. With him, you need at least two hours beforehand to get ready because he runs and hides like crazy, lol. Instead, I put on Ice Age for him and he layed in my bed until I was done showering. Then we went downstairs and played, ate, and watched TV for a bit. Currenlty, Mr. O is napping and I am writing this while watching the Bears game. They are currently 7-3! It’s been a great season for the Bears and I hope it continues. Lea is on her way back. Last time I checked her location it said she was about 30 minutes away. Mr. O is going to go nuts when he wakes up and his momma is home!

I hope you enjoyed this weekly review! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you had/have a great week!
