Weekly Review 61

Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

On Monday morning, we woke up to an estimated 6-12” of snow on the ground. It wasn’t unexpected, but I blew the radar off because it’s typically wrong, so waking up to this was still a little bit of a surprise. After Lea and Mr. O woke up, I attempted to shovel the driveway a little bit before work. I barely made a dent! It was so tough shoveling all of that, lol. I was out there for maybe 30 minutes before I started my workday. It was another busy week at work, so I won’t fill this post up complaining about that. In the evening, I finally finished shoveling our driveway. It took over an hour. I don’t have a snowblower yet, so the shovel will have to do! When I finished, I grabbed my keys and drove to the store to buy salt to pour all over the driveway so it doesn’t get icy. After I finished, I went inside and made burgers for all of us. After we played and ate, Mr. O went to bed, and I continued my season in Madden as the Chicago Bears head coach.

Tuesday was a holiday, so I was off work. I still took Mr. O to daycare (because he loves it), so I had the rest of the day to myself while Lea was out working. When I came home, I finished shoveling what was left on the driveway, salting again, and then shoveling my half of the sidewalk. There wasn’t too much on the driveway, most of it fell off my car so it was easy to scoop up and toss away. Once I finally finished, I went inside and started the laundry. Thankfully, Lea had done most of it a few days beforehand, so I didn’t have much to do, lol. Then I played Madden again, and brought the Bears one step closer to the playoffs. When I became bored of winning, I turned off the playstation and worked on my cousins fantasy football newsletter. I have so much fun writing stuff like that. It’s so freeing, I wish I could find a sidehustle to write nonsense like that, lol. No, not this blog, because I don’t want to think of this as work! In the late afternoon, Lea and Mr. O came back home, and she made dinner for us. Then we played with Mr. O before he took his first bubble bath. He LOVES it, lol. Now we have to put the bubbles in every time.

On Wednesday I woke up a little bit before the rest of my family. I laid in bed and looked out the window and a beautiful sunrise. I have a tiny view of a pond across the street, with snow and pretty fall trees surrounding it. Geese were gently swimming across and the sky was blue with a hint of pink due to the sun coming up. Once everyone else was up, we had “family laundry time” before work, meaning Lea and I did laundry while Mr. O destroyed our piles of clothes we folded after he was tired of sprinting around the house. After work, our friend Toby came over with his girlfriend. It was our first time meeting her and we were glad they wanted to hang out. Lea’s been waiting forever for my friends to date and/or get married so she can have other women to hang out with, lol. We had fun! We played games for a few hours and hung out. When they left, I continued my season with the Bears (I’m a great head coach).

Thursday morning, Mr. O and I hung out for a couple hours before I started working. We watched some of his shows on YouTube while we cuddled on the couch. In the evening, Lea made dinner, and then Mr. O and I played upstairs in his playroom. He was jumping in his ballpit, then we played in his tent and kicked a ball around. Good times! Later, I gave him another bath, and yes, we had to put more bubbles in.

On Friday morning I introduced Mr. O to the show The Land Before Time (I think that’s what it’s called). I hadn’t seen it since I was a kid. He liked it, because he likes dinosaurs, but he would rather watch his train shows. He’s been enjoying this one show that has it all: Robot Dinosaur Train. He’s obsessed with it! After work, we played in his playroom and I made him dinner. We watched a little bit of Winnie the Pooh, a little bit of Cars, and then more of his YouTube shows, before finally putting him down for the night. After he went to bed, and since Lea was out, I spent the night playing Madden. It was great to finally be able to have a night like this. I worked on the season the whole night, and eventually led the Bears to the Superbowl. We lost by one touchdown. It was very disappointing and I don’t want to talk about it anymore right now. However, I, well the coach I created (Rusty Spoonz), did get a contract extension. How could he not? He led the organization to the Super Bowl in his first season as head coach!

When Mr. O woke up on Saturday, we went to play in his playroom. We worked together to get his train tracks set up, and somehow we did it. We played up there for hours, then he went down for a nap and I walked on the treadmill for about forty minutes. In the evening, we went to our goddaughters house for her birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Mr. O played with his cousin, and he found some toys he enjoyed. He also painted with all the other kids too, so that was fun to clean up when we came home, lol.

On Sunday morning, Mr. O and I went to church. Then, we came home and watched the Bears game. It’s been a relaxing Sunday. My plans for the rest of the evening are simple: relax, clean, maybe do some training for work, and play games after Mr. O goes to sleep, lol. Hopefully, it all works out this way!

I hope you all have had a great week, and continue to enjoy the week ahead.

Peter
