Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

Dark and early Monday morning, Mr. O was up at 1 AM. He’s been very scared of things lately, which is normal, but it’s specifically in the evening or middle of the night. I went in to his room and, once again, he was pointing to the corner of his room, behind his rocking chair. I continuously brush it off and tell him it’s nothing because I don’t want to scare myself, lol. So, he came and slept in our bed and we got a few more hours of rest before waking up and starting the new week. In the evening, we continued our usual routine. We ate dinner, we played, and we watched Friday Night Lights. Besides all of that, I also finished up my Cousins Fantasy Football newsletter. It was really fun to write and I’m excited to continue it each week our season goes on.

On Tuesday morning, I took Mr. O to daycare. He is so sweet. He talked my ear off in the car and then, when I was leaving daycare, he came and gave me a hug AND a kiss! He’s never done that before. My heart melted. I didn’t want to leave him there but he was so excited, lol. When I came home I finished up my newsletter and sent it out to my cousins. I don’t know if any of them actually read it, but they said they liked it so, I guess that’s good. In the evening, we played with Mr. O, watched our show, and then I went to bed early. I think I fell asleep around 8:30-9:00 PM. I was so tired! It felt great though.

On Wednesday I woke up an hour earlier than normal because I was preparing to go up into Chicago for work. As many of you know, I rarely go into the office anymore, so I don’t take the train as often as I used to. So of course, the one time I do take the train I make a fool of myself! I stood up too quickly and slammed my head into the second floor, lol. It hurt so bad but I had to ignore it. I had to act like it didn’t bother me. Then, I went, like, three cars down so I didn’t have to stand there with everyone who just saw that, lol. I was making my montlhy appearance in the office, and it just so happens to be the “Halloween Party”, which means free food! Hey, I can’t help that the days I choose to go in are the days the office is ordering pizza, okay? It’s not like I plan it….Okay maybe I do sometimes. It was a nice day downtown, and it was great seeing everyone again. After work I met my mom at Cheers for dinner. We never go to dinner just the two of us anymore, but since Mr. O was with Lea at her Mom’s group meeting, my mom and I decided to go out to eat. When I came home I caught up on this show called The Chair Company on HBO.

On Thursday morning, Mr. O slept in, so I was able to finally finish the comic Batman: The Long Halloween. It was good, the ending was certainly not what I expected. Overall, fun read. Highly recommend. The workday was quick and then I went to the store to pick up these photo magnets I ordered for my friends housewarming gift. Friday was Halloween, and I made a post about some haunted cemetery lore from The Region. I hope you read it and I really hope you enjoyed it! I thought it was interesting. After work we took Lightning McQueen, I mean Mr O., trick-or-treating. This year we went all the way around the block. He had so much fun! He would switch between saying trick-or-treat and Happy Halloween. We were out in the cold for maybe 45 minutes. Some of the decorations in the neighborhood scared the poor little guy, but overall he loved it.

Once we came home, we ate dinner, and then I went to my friend Toby’s new house to hang out with him, Brandon, and Kyle. I’ve known Brandon for years, we grew up in the same church and played basketball together. I knew him before I knew Toby, actually. Toby and I met Kyle at the same time when we were freshman in college. We were all on the same floor, and the two of them ran track together at the University. It was nice seeing them and catching up with everyone. The new house also looked great! We ended up eating pizza and playing Mario Superstrikers for hours, winning every tournament we played. I love that game. I’m going to have to get myself a Nintendo Switch at some point. Oh, also, on Friday the Bulls went 5-0! The bulls haven’t been 5-0 since the Michael Jordan era. That’s insane. Good for them, I am glad I was very wrong about this team.

On Satruday we all somehow woke up at 7. We relaxed downstairs while watching Mr. O’s shows on YouTube, then I turned on this Bears talk show on FOX that I’ve never seen before. Mr. O and I became bored of that, though, so we went to play with his toys while Hercules played in the background. When he went down for a nap, I worked out and then assisted Lea in cleaning the house a bit. I also cleaned out my office and rearranged some furniture. It’s becoming more of a “study” than an office, and I am not complaining. I removed the TV from the room (since I don’t use it in there anyway) and took out our wine rack and replaced it with a little table and my record player. Once I get it how I want it I will take a pic for you guys! Later in the evening, my mom came over to hang out for a bit. Mr. O was so excited to see his Yiayia. He played with her for a bit and then he went to bed. It was a good day.

On Sunday we all went to church, as a family, and it was great. Mr. O went to Sunday School for the first time, and Lea went with him. He enjoyed himself for the most part. I guess he listened as much as a two year old boy is going to listen, lol. When we came home, he took a nap, I turned on the Bears game, and we went about our day. It was a great week, and I have a really good week coming up as well (I’m off work all week!).

I hope you all had/have a great week.

Peter
