Hello readers! Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you.

Monday night was an intereting one in our household. After work I made tacos, and once we finished eating, I played with Mr. O for a bit. This is when he informed me he had superpowers! I had no idea. There were no signs at all. One day he had them, one day he didn’t. To say I’m proud is an understatement. What are his superpower, you might ask? Well, that’s something he is keeping to himself for now. He won’t tell me. I asked if he had super strength, or super speed, and he said “No” and then ran away. So, I guess we will just wait and see what powers he has when he decides to use them. Am I freaked out? No, not really. A little bit jealous? Yeah, totally. That would be awesome to have superpowers! Once his hero duties were done for the day, he went to sleep. Lea and I then finished the night watching Friday Night Lights. What an exhausting day!

On Tuesday morning I took Mr. O to daycare. On the way there I was playing my “Liked Songs” playlist on Spotify. One of the songs that came on was Punkrocker (feat. Iggy Pop), by the Teddybears. It was in the new Superman movie and it’s a fun song so I added it. Well, it came on in the car and Mr. O suddenly loved it, lol. He was singing along the whole time! It was so cute. Work was okay. We were really busy again, which I guess is a good thing. In the evening, Lea picked Mr. O up from daycare and we did our normal routine. We ate dinner, played with the little monster to get his remaining energy out before bed, then relaxed and watched our show.

On Wednesday morning I had some extra time to kill. Lea and Mr. O slept in, so I started working on my most recent Bulls post. I had fun writing it and I am happy with it. I mention that because I hadn’t had fun writing a Bulls post in a long, long time. I’m happy to find joy in it at the moment, lol. When Mr. O woke up, we watched this video of Dinosaurs racing. It was strange, but also entertaining. He loved it (of course). In the evening we played with his toys and watched some TV. It was a quiet night.

On Thursday evening we played with Mr. O some more. This kid has so much energy. It’s like out of nowhere he has a second tank in him and he does not stop. He’s constantly running everywhere, throwing his toys, tackling me. It’s fun, obviously, and super cute, but it’s exhausting, lol. Especially after working all day. I also created a newsletter for my cousins fantasy football group. I think it will be fun and kind of funny to document things going on within the league and to get everyone’s in put on things. It will also be funny to read it kind of seriously while it is also not serious at all. We will see how it goes when the first one is sent out. Lea and I ended the night watching Friday Night Lights again.

When Friday morning came around, I made Mr. O breakfast. He hasn’t had waffles and bananas in a while, so I popped a couple waffles in the toaster, cut up his banana, and sprinkled a little bit of syrup on his food (not the bananas). He loved it. He almost ate it all, lol. After work, Mr. O and I rushed to St. Save Serbian Church in Merrillville, Indiana. Earlier in the day I had found out a Fragment of the True Cross of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ was at the church, and “Father John of the Greek Orthodox Church, vising from Greece will be present to bless and cross all who wish to come and venerate the Cross of Christ…” It was from 11 AM to 7 PM, so I am very happy we were able to quickly change after work and head that way. You can read more about the fragment of the Cross HERE. Isn’t that so incredible? We were so blessed to have been made aware of this, and even more blessed to be in its presence and able to venerate it.

When we came home, Mr. O put on his new Spiderman pajamas. He loved them! We played for a bit while Lea made dinner, and then we watched our show. On Saturday morning, around 3 AM, Mr. O was calling for me, terrified. “Dada! Help! Dadaaaa help me!!” I ran in there and he was pointing to the corner of his room, behind his rocking chair, and said there was a monster there. So, I picked him up, grabbed his blanket, pillow, Mickey Mouse, and his turtle named Turbo, and brought them to our room to sleep. This little stinker took up almost the whole king sized bed. He sleeps all sprawled out, pushing me to the edge. He’s cute though, so it’s okay. When we woke up (again), we went downstairs. I started teaching him how to play Madden and he loves it, lol. He just loves football. I give him the controller and let him do whatever he wants with it, for the most part.

Then, Mr. O helped me do the dishes. He was splashing water everywhere, but he was still helpful at times. When he went down for his nap, I worked out, made myself lunch, and hung out with Lea for a bit until Mr. O woke up. Lea has been putting together these cubbies for Mr. O’s playroom all weekend, so after I moved them all upstairs, she spent most of the afternoon in the playroom organizing everything. It looks great! While her and Mr. O were doing that, I was taking care of laundry and cleaning out the shelves in my closet. I need more room for some of my clothes, so I’m going to start putting them up there. Also, that cleaning was much needed, I’ve been neglecting it, lol. In the evening, I went to my koumbaro Demetri’s house. Him and his wife were hosting a housewarming/Halloween party. It was a lot of fun, and I stayed out way later than I thought I would. I don’t think I left their house until 1 AM. I know I didn’t get home until 1:30-2 AM, and then I couldn’t fall asleep for a while either. I was up at 7 on Sunday becuase Mr. O was calling for me, lol. So, no sleep for me!

On Sunday, I am very happy with the fact that the Bulls are 2-0 to start the season. It’s a long season, though, so we will see how the rest of it goes. Mr. O and I watched this Rescue & Restore video on YouTube and it was really cool. This guy was restoring this toy train from the 1920’s, it was incredible. He made hit look brand new. After that, we played Madden again and ran around the house until Lea came home with the groceries. Then, we all played some more before nap time. As I write this, the Bears are playing in Baltimore, and they are trying to extend their 4 game win streak to 5. Let’s hope they can do it. Go Bears!

After the game I plan to cut the grass. It’s the warmest it’s going to be all week, so I have to do it today. Other than that, there isn’t much else going on around here. We are just looking forward to another week together, and ending it with Halloween. Keep an eye out for my Halloween post at the end of the week. It’s really interesting lore from The Region!
