Weekly Review 15

Hello readers. Welcome to my weekly review, where I share my previous week with you! This past week was so much fun. I can’t believe Christmas came and went already. We’ll get to that soon. Let’s start on Monday.

Monday: the day before Christmas Eve. We can skip the boring part – I worked, it was boring. The end! On Monday evening Mr. O and I watched The Polar Express. He’s come to love trains so we assumed he would love this movie. He watched so intensely nothing could break this kids concentration. “Shoo-shoo!” he would say from time to time. Trying his best to say choo-choo lol. Once the movie was over it was time to put him to bed. He was not happy, but he dealt with it because he’s the best baby in the entire world.

Once he went down Lea and I watched It’s a Wonderful Life. It’s my favorite Christmas movie. I try to watch it when it’s not Christmas time (sometimes) and it just doesn’t hit the same. So I try to watch it once a year around Christmas. Anyway, it hit extra hard this year because I finally realized what it was all about, and it helped me overcome some things I’d been feeling for a while. You can read about it HERE. I wrote this Monday night after we watched the movie, right before I went to bed.

On Tuesday we were one day closer to the big day. It was Christmas Eve and I still had gifts to wrap! I had about 15 minutes before I absolutely had to be online for work so I quickly wrapped up all of Lea’s gifts I hadn’t given her yet (and I was mocked for the wrap-job the following day). It was a slow day at work and they let us off early. Now it was time to “party”! Every Christmas Eve my aunt hosts a ton of family at her house and it’s always so much fun. At the party I was asked if my family would get a shout-out on the blog, so here it is: What’s up fam! Hey, Theo Jim here’s personal your shout-out. I hope you enjoy it!

Mr. O had a blast running around and seeing everyone. He also got a few presents while we were there. One aunt brought really cool pajamas and clothes! Another brought a truck for him to play with and it had Legos he could build on the truck! Another aunt (the one that was hosting) bought him a little trampoline for him to bounce on! He loved all of the gifts a lot. He got more I just can’t remember them right now lol. And yes, he did jump on the trampoline for a long, long time.

Mr. O isn’t the only one who had fun. Lea and I had a blast with my/our cousins too. We played games, caught up a little bit and enjoyed each others company. As we always do! Wednesday was the big day. Christmas was here! The big guy came, dropped off his presents, and left. Soon after, Lea and I woke up and put all the other gifts under the tree for our little man (she moved the ones I wrapped to the back before she took this picture).

We got up early to set everything up and….he decided to sleep….and sleep….and sleep…he just kept sleeping! It took him so long to wake up lol. When he finally did, he was so happy. He loved ripping the wrapping paper and finding all his new toys inside. Some of the presents he’s had the most fun with are a race track, a Little People brand carwash/helicopter pad? I’m not sure entirely what it is but it’s a big, bulky thing he can put his cars through lol. He also got his own little vacuum because he loves to pretend to clean and, of course, he loves his trampoline from Christmas Eve.

One gift he’s obsessed with came a bit late. We bought him his own little kitchen! He loves it so much.

He “cooks” and “cleans” for a majority of the day. So we hear a ton of banging on the pots. On Christmas he also gave me a gift I didn’t expect. He’s obsessed with the Superman teaser trailer lol. It came on the TV as a commercial and he stopped everything he was doing to run in front of the TV and watch it. We then had to put it on YouTube for him so he could watch it two more times. I love how much he loves it and how animated he gets when he watches it. I cannot wait to watch that movie with him. Lea also gave me another gift that night. No, it’s not what you’re thinking. That’s gross! She actually wanted to start the Sopranos with me. I’ve been trying to get her to watch it forever and we were finally able to start it!

On Thursday I was thinking about the blog and different types of content I could try, but I’m not sure what to do if I’m being honest (which I always am on here). I was thinking about video content on Rumble/YouTube/TikTok, but I don’t know what kind of content. I thought maybe I could record my games I play on the PlayStation, but I didn’t want to talk in them so I figured nobody wants to just watch me play a game and not say anything lol. Then I thought maybe I can make videos for my Exploring the Region series. In order to do that I’d have to start actually going places though lol. Many options, just not sure if I’ll have the time, money, or passion to do it. I will figure it out though.

On Friday Mr. O started to get a cough and a runny nose. He was still active and playing though so I don’t think he’s actually going to get sick. After work (and after Mr. O went to sleep for the night) I made some time to play Baldur’s Gate 3. I can’t believe I haven’t played in so long. I love this game! On Saturday we started the day by watching Superman The Movie (again lol). During and after that we played with Mr. O and his toys. It was a relaxing day.

Sunday was also another relaxing day. It rained all day so we did laundry, played with Mr. O and relaxed. At night before he went to bed, Mr. O and I watched an hour long video of steam trains driving around. It was really cool actually lol. He was so happy. He kept saying “shoo-shoo” and pretending like he was pulling the rope that makes the noise. I’m going to have to find a nearby steam train that gives rides. He would love it so much.

It was a great week overall and an amazing Christmas!

I hope you all had a merry Christmas and a great week!

Peter
