There was some fascinating news recently (especially for Christians around the world). New evidence for the Shroud of Turin suggests that it is authentic.
If you have no clue what I’m talking about let me give a quick explanation. I don’t know when, but at some point this burial cloth was found and people have always believed it was the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. The cloth itself bears an image of a crucified man who many people believe is Jesus. You can read more on the history of the shroud here: https://www.shroud.com
What’s so incredible about this new revelation this, from the article: “Most people know a carbon-dating test in 1988 concluded that the Shroud was a medieval forgery. But the latest tests, recently published in the peer-reviewed academic journal, Heritage, contradict the carbon dating, and say that the Shroud is likely to be 2000 years old.” So not only were those original examinations wrong, but the new results showing the shroud to be around 2000 years old gives even more credibility to the life of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
It’s a really fascinating article and I hope you read it if you are interested. It’s pretty huge news in my opinion. It really reignites a spark I feel was lost, or one that I was losing anyway. It’s so incredible.
