Once again I am writing to you about more DCU updates. However, these are not only Superman related! I waited about two weeks; taking screenshots of all the updates so I can compile them all into one post.
So, here we go:
Superman
We got our first look at The Daily Planet logo

So cool. It looks like it’s like of timeless, in a way. I hope that makes sense. Let me rephrase – it looks like it is from a really old movie, but also a present-day movie. I think you all understand what I’m saying lol.
There are also many Easter eggs hidden throughout this film (apparently):

Reeves street is a nod to the late-great Christopher Reeves. The OH Superman and many people’s favorite version of the character. Each new Superman actor aspires to be half as good as Christopher Reeves was.
Next to that photo is another Easter egg. This time, of a comic with Krypto the superdog on it. Is that a hint? Will we be getting our loveable fur-friend in the new movie? We’ll have to wait and see!
Creature Commandos

The first project of the DCU will premier on Max in December of this year! I’m so excited for this. Yes, it’s for adults. The animation looks great, and each actor who voices each character will be the ones we see in the live-action films and shows.
For example, characters from Creature Commandos will appear in the Superman movie next July:

It’s a very connected universe already, I love it. Creature Commandos is said to pick up right after Peacemaker (starring John Cena) left off. You can find season one on Max as well.

Peacemaker

As you can see, that’s a character from Creature Commandos. He will appear in Peacemaker season two! (If you haven’t seen The suicide squad written and directed by James Gunn himself, I recommend it so you can understand what’s going on between these two characters.
Although The Suicide Squad is not a part of the DCU – not connected at all, totally different universe – they’ll explain how these two characters history made their way into this new universe.

Let’s go, Roy! (Any office fans??)

Great casting.

This will be interesting to see. Superbad is hilarious, and Peacemaker is more of a jokey character, so I have high hopes for season two!
Booster Gold

All I have to say right now is: this show is going to be both hilarious and amazing.
Blue Beetle

This is going to be great. I can’t wait to see him and Booster Gold interact. It’s always comedic.
Finally, a note from the leader of the DCU himself, James Gunn:

I’m so excited to see his vision come to life.
The DCU starting December 2024 on Max!
Peter
