Life- Grad Party, Engagement Party, and Festival

Longer title than usual, but that’s okay…I guess. It was a fun weekend and I’m excited to share it with you!

It started on Friday. I ended my work day at 5pm, and quickly showered and changed for my youngest cousins high school graduation party. I’m excited for her, but also sad. Selfishly sad because this means I am so old. I’m 12 years older than her, and now she’s in college.

I joke around with her and try to use whatever lingo all the “cool cats” are using these days, but I’m constantly reminded I’m not “hip”, and my words are even older than I am. It’s more of a little joke we have lol I’m really not that much of a loser.

The party was fun, though. It was nice seeing some family and some friends. Baby O had a BLAST. This kid was walking (on his knees) all over the place. Screaming with excitement at every little thing. At one point he was the only one on the dance floor lol. I love seeing him so happy.

One of the benefits of covering his face in these photos (besides protecting him online), is that the emoji face is always smiling, whereas Baby O is not smiling in most of these pictures lol. Not because he’s not happy. No, no, he’s a very happy baby. It’s because that’s just how he is – stubborn! He does things when he wants to. Not when we tell him to. It’s gonna be a problem eventually lol but for now it’s cute.

Saturday ended up being a very lazy day. We stayed in our pajama and played all day. Watched a couple movies and shows here-and-there, and relaxed all day. It was incredible and much needed.

However, Saturday night was different. My koumbaro, Demetri (you can listen to his interview under my interview tab), who is also Baby O’s godfather, had his engagement party. We’re so happy for him and his fiancée! They’re great together and we are so excited for their wedding.

The engagement party was a lot of fun. Baby O, once again, had a blast. Walking around on his knees, but also on his feet while holding his momma’s hands, screaming again in excitement. He loves music and being around people, it’s really sweet.

Don’t mind my head. That was my terrible crop-job earlier. There were two women in the background and I didn’t want to put them on my site without their knowledge.

Once it was an hour past mine and Baby O’s bedtime, we left Lea there to have the night off, while me and my boy went home. I put him to bed and then I relaxed and played some video games on my PlayStation. It was a nice night.

On Sunday Lea and I cleaned a wagon and a slide – both for our little guy. Thankfully one of our neighbors gave them to us. I can’t wait to watch him use them lol he’s gonna love it. Later in the day we went to my church’s festival and had some great food.

I had some lamb and Lea and Baby O shared a big piece of chicken. Then Lea and I split a big box of Loukoumades. They’re so delicious I can never get enough of them (also the best ones are made at my church!). Once again, it was past the baby’s bedtime/nap time so we came home and hung out around the house the rest of the day.

It was a really fun weekend. Next up, Fathers Day! Woohoo!

Peter
