Florida Trip: Day Two

Day two was a long one. But it was very fun!

It started at 6 a.m. when I woke up in my friends hotel room because mine wasn’t ready yet. I did my normal routine and had plans to go to the gym and workout a little bit (since I ate a ton of garbage the night before).

I’m sure it comes as no surprise I did not go to the gym lol. Instead I went and got a really good breakfast at the hotel overlooking the ocean.

My cousin and I ate, then went and sat by the pool with the rest of our family. My cousin also swears she saw a dolphin, but I didn’t see it so who knows if she’s telling the truth.

It was a simple day yesterday. 90% of it was spent in the sun, frying my skin. We sat by the pool, bought a bucket of beers, ordered some food (chicken tendies with honey mustard is always the way to go), and relaxed.

After eating I was finally able to check into my own room a little early, which was very nice. Now I could really relax without having to worry about going to move all my stuff from my friends room.

After dragging my luggage to the sixth floor, I was pleased to finally be in my room with the beautiful view!

After my other cousin and I settled into our room, we went back to being poolside with the family. Then, a few of us went into the ocean for probably an hour or so, tossed a football around, and enjoyed the Atlantic Ocean and got even more sun (my back does not feel great today).

Around 6 o’clock in the evening, it was time to shower and get ready for dinner. My cousins and I had planned to go out and get some seafood. After showering and getting dressed we hung out on our balcony until we decided which restaurant to go to and what type of food we wanted.

It was decided by flipping a coin, and we had to re-do it multiple times lol. Eventually, we landed on this place called Ocean Deck.

It was okay. The place itself was fun and the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as great as all the reviews made it out to be. Overall, it was a fun place to get dinner and watch some NBA Playoffs.

I had crab for the first time last night, and I just learned how to crack it open. It was a learning experience for me, I ended up spraying the juice (or whatever it was) all over my shirt and face lol.

Eventually, we made our way back to the hotel, where there was a tribute band rocking out and where most people who are also going to the wedding on Saturday were hanging out. It was a great time!

I went to bed around midnight. I needed my beauty sleep for the long day that was just around the corner.

Be on the lookout for Part 3!

Peter
