Lots of news broke recently about the new DC Universe and I am so excited.
Once again, allow me to be a total geek…there was a lot of information dumped on us fans the other day and I wanted to wait and see if there was going to be any more before I made this post. Now that I know there is no more news (for now), it’s a good time to share with you the schedule for the DC Universe. Lot’s of cool things happening!

First, Supergirl. Per Deadline, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, The Second Pic from James Gunn & Peter Safran’s DC Studios, Gets Summer 2026 Release. This is awesome news! Back to back summers of our favorite supers. I can’t remember where I saw it, but I read somewhere that before her big movie comes out in 2026, she will make an appearance in a different DC project. It’s only logical to assume it’s the Superman movie, but you never know.

Next, Booster Gold! Booster Gold is supposed to be a Max (formerly HBO) series, and it was made known the other day that filming is going to begin on July 8, 2024! This is awesome. I’m excited for the entire DCU, but this show is just about at the top of my list. Booster Gold is such.a fun character and I can’t wait to see fans discover him and learn about him. They’re going to love him. It isn’t known who has been cast in the role though. Some think it’s Chris Pratt, others think it’s some actors I’ve never heard of, but we will just have to wait and see.

The Creature Commandos Max series just released a synopsis and a look at their cover art. It looks so cool. This is an animated series, and also the first DCU project to be released later this year. As you can see from the picture, it sounds like a really interesting and different type of show. I hope it’s good. I believe it will be really fun and something new for comic fans.

Lastly, DC is building the hype for The Authority to make their first live action appearance in the DCU. I’ve read a few of their comics and I love them. They’re such a fun group of characters. They’re led by Jenny Sparks who, as you can see in the photo above, is about to get her own solo comic series. I’m really interested to see how they write this. It should be really good!
It’s so exciting to see this new universe come together. It’s going to be something really, really special and fun. I hope some of you take interest and show your support by going to see Superman in July 2025! (If not for yourself, go see it for me. You’re random friend on the internet. Thanks in advance!)
