Jerry needs to sell the team, AK needs to be fired, & changes need to be made

Hello and welcome to another one of my Bulls rants. I don’t know if this could be considered a “rant”, actually, but I guess we can call it that. When I think of rants I think of typing angrily about the Bulls. However, I am not angry. I am over being angry. I was angry this morning and last night after a humiliating loss to end the season, but I am calm now. I just have a few things to get off my chest.

  1. The Bulls organization sucks. I’m not talking about the players – I want to make that very clear – I am talking about ownership and management. They are horrible. First, Jerry Reinsdorf is a horrible owner. He is simultaneously running both the Bulls and the White Sox organizations into the ground. He is a clueless and greedy old man and needs to sell the team. Will he though? No, probably not, but that doesn’t mean us fans have to put up with it. There really isn’t much we can do, but if we can continue to use our voices effectively there might be a chance of winning (a very, very low chance. But a chance nonetheless).
  2. Arturas Karnisovas NEEDS to be fired. Like yesterday. The fact that this man still has a job proves my point at how clueless and careless Jerry Reinsdorf is. AK has been preaching “continuity” and belief in this core for years now and it has amounted to nothing. He has struggled to admit his plans didn’t work out, and has dragged this team, organization, and the fans through the mud for too long. Management has zero clue what fans truly want. We want a team that can compete. We want a team that can play well together. We want good trades to happen. That’s all we want. I don’t know why that is so hard for this guy. He STINKS.

I saw this article today and I am calling BS on it immediately. Bulls’ Arturas Karnisovas vows to make changes from NBC Sports Chicagos K.C. Johnson. “Karnisovas publicly said his plans for continuity failed and that changes are coming.” Yeah…okay…I’ll believe it when I see it. I don’t trust anything this guy says, if I’m being honest. Why would I? He, along with the organization, kept us in the dark about Lonzo Ball’s injury for as long as he could. He told us his continuity plan would work. He has done nothing to make me believe in him or trust him.

We need to move players. Zach LaVine most likely wants out of Chicago after this trade deadline debacle. Why would he want to stay? I wouldn’t if I were him. He knows they tried to trade him, and he was kind of on board from what I’ve read. He is wasting good years here, and he is injury prone, so if it comes to trading him I will get over it (probably quicker than I think).

DeMar DeRozan wants Bulls return but with chance to ‘make a run’ per ESPN’s Jamal Collier. “While DeMar DeRozan reiterated a desire to remain in Chicago as the Bulls’ season ended Friday night, he also emphasized just how much he wants to win, particularly as his career winds down…DeRozan stated his preference to re-sign with the organization but expressed his frustrations with losing in the same spot as a year ago.”

I don’t blame him (obviously). I’m glad he is voicing his frustrations because I don’t know how else us fans would get our frustrations all the way to the top of the organization. He is unknowingly speaking for all of us. He is a great player and seems like a really great guy, and frankly, he deserves better. His incredible career is winding down and he is chasing victory. He deserves it and he deserves an organization that is going to take winning seriously. So if he leaves this summer I will be happy for him.

They need to keep Alex Caruso, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, and Patrick Williams. These four should be considered untouchable within the organization unless a blockbuster offer comes through. Caruso’s defense is priceless, Coby White has a very good chance of winning Most Improved Player of the year award, Ayo is developing very nicely and plays really well with Coby running the point, and Patrick Williams can be a very good player if he is healthy and continues his positive development. These guys can help shape the future of this team, and they can eventually become really great veteran players for rookies to look up to in the future. It would be so Bulls if they traded them or let them go, though. I can totally see that happening.

Well, that’s my rant for the night. Since the Bulls are out, I guess I have to root for the Indiana Pacers (since I live in Indiana and all). We’ll see if I can get into it. I doubt it, but I will try.
