For those who need to hear it (Help your anxiety)

This post is for those who need to hear this tonight. I don’t know what’s going on, but I feel like I have to write this post. Recently I’ve been reading A Faith Encouraged by Fr. Barnabas Powell. He is an Orthodox Christian priest, as well as an author (and I guess you can say blogger https://faithencouraged.org/about-us/ ).

Last week I wrote down this quote. I don’t know why but I was drawn to it. I wanted to keep it in my notes for whenever I needed it – or if someone else needed to hear it. And tonight, like I said in my introduction, I feel like I have to share the quote I wrote down. So, here it is:

“You see, our trials offer us an invitation to grasp that there will be a time when these difficulties will be nothing but a distant, irrelevant memory. The troubles in our lives are flimsy and temporary – we must refuse to allow suffering to make us less than we are. But this attitude hinges on our willingness to see our circumstances from an eternal perspective, thus avoiding the temptation to see things through the lens of anxiety.”

I hope this helps whoever needed to see this tonight.
