Good evening to all my readers – old and new – and welcome to The Region Life! I’m happy to report that between email and WordPress, we are nearing 100 followers. How exciting! Of course, if you’ve been following along for a while now you know that while it is so appreciated, that’s not what this site is about. I’m just having fun, writing about my life and things I enjoy, but it always nice to have people to share those things with. So, again, thank you!
I have a house update, and I’m not sure if I mentioned it before, but we had an offer and we were going through the motions, but it fell through (because of the buyer). So, we are still working on fixing whatever needs fixed and selling it. But enough of that, I have bored you all with house and moving talk too much lately.
As I mentioned recently, Lea and Oliver were out of town this past Saturday, so I had a free weekend. I spent it doing laundry (boring!) and playing Hogwarts Legacy (fun!). I started playing this game right before Oliver was born. It’s been a while since I have actually gotten into it again. Honestly, I love it so much. It’s such a cool and fun game. The amount of detail they put in is incredible! The architecture of the castle and other buildings is simply mind – blowing. The music is fantastic, and the storyline is very well – written. Even the side – quests are fun. It’s a great game, and if you haven’t picked it up yet, you should! My favorite room in the entire game is in Hogwarts. It’s called the Room of Requirement, and it can basically be whatever you want it to be. The game gives you three options of “ambience” but you can decorate however you want. Your characters pretty much has their own mansion inside the school lol. Mine is dark and mysterious, with big tables, tall medieval looking chairs, and (probably) ten – foot – tall knights standing in the corners lol.
I am finally almost finished with the entire main storyline, but overall, I am only a little bit over fifty percent done with the game. I have a ton of side – quests I have to do. It’s been fun, and if I have time (I probably won’t) I’ll create a new character and play it again eventually.
Other than laundry and gaming, I went out with a couple of my friends on Saturday night. It was fun. We went to the square, in Crown Point, Indiana. The square is a giant square which surrounds a really old courthouse in the town. In the square are a bunch of shops and restaurants/bars. We went out to eat and drink a little bit, but not too much because we’re old now. It was a really fun night – until I got home lol. Turns out, you don’t want to eat at certain bars in the square. My burger, as I found out between three or four in the morning, was not really cooked – like at all. When I was eating it I saw it and I thought “well, it’s a little undercooked that how I usually have it, but I’m sure it’s just the lighting that makes it look like this.” NOPE. Lesson learned. Never eat at that place again! Lol.
Once I recovered I was finally able to get some sleep before my little family returned. I’m so happy they’re back I missed them so much. It was relaxing to be alone for a couple days, but it’s one hundred – times better when Lea and Oliver are here.
That’s all the updates I have for now, but as soon as I have more I will be back on to tell you all about it! Have a great night.
Peter
