Superman: Legacy Casting Announcements

Hello everyone! It’s been a few days, I know. I’ve been so tired from work and parenting I haven’t had the motivation to sit down and write. However, yesterday (and today) there were some big casting announcements for the new Superman movie, so I wanted to write about it and spread the word because this is going to be awesome!

Yesterday it was announced by Variety that Superman: Legacy Adds Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Plus Isabela Merced and Edi Gathegi. Lets start with Green Lantern. Uh what?! A GL is going to be in the Superman movie?! This is going to be so awesome. Nathan Fillion is being cast as Guy Gardner. Now, the more well – known Lanterns are Hal Jordan and John Stewart, but Guy Gardner is a pretty popular one, so I’m not to shocked James Gunn worked him into the movie. It’s going to be so cool to see. 

Next, Isabela Merced has been cast as Hawkgirl and Edi Gathegi has been cast as Mister Terrific. Anthony Carrigan has also been cast as Metamorpho. I’m not too familiar with these three characters (or actors) but I’m still super pumped. This movie is going to be filled with different heroes, but James Gunn has assured us the primary focus will be Superman and Lois Lane. The other heroes who will appear just add to the story. James Gunn has proven he’s great with lesser known characters (ex: Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad), and he’s also great with making all the characters work together. He’s good with big groups and different people. He knows what he’s doing with this movie, and I think it’s going to be way better than everybody is expecting. 

So, here is the Superman: Legacy cast so far (minus Anthony Carrigan)!
