Life – Festivals, Golf & Grad Party

Hello everyone! Wow it feels like it’s been a while…but it’s only been three days lol. Why does three days feel like an eternity on here? Who knows. Anyways, there’s been a lot going on the last few days so I obviously wanted to share it with you.

On Thursday night my in – laws came into town. They live about three hours away, so it’s a bit of a trip to get here, but we enjoy the company (not to mention the two extra babysitters lol). On Friday night we went to eat at this restaurant called Northwood Falls. It’s about ten minutes from our house and is a fun place to eat and hang out. Apparently, they have live music, but since we had Oliver we left just as that was starting lol. We didn’t want him to wake up and be upset with the loud noise. We sat outside on their big wooden deck. It was bigger than I thought it would be. It had a full stage, and behind it was a huge pond. It was really pretty.

Saturday morning Lea and her mom took Oliver shopping with them, while I took my car for a wash and an oil change. It needed both of those things desperately. It finally looks nice and shiny again. Once I came home my father – in – law and I packed up our golf clubs and hit the driving range. We went to a new (new to me, anyway) place about five minutes from my house. It was okay. It’s a nice place to go and hit some balls, but it wasn’t as nice as an actual golf course. It’s more of a family center, so it’s understandable why it looked the way it did. Anyways, it was perfect for what I wanted to do – hit golf balls. So that was fun! Beside my shoulders and neck getting sun burnt lol. I should have put sun screen on, or maybe a shirt with sleeves. Ah, well, what’re you gonna do? It happens.

Saturday was also my mom’s birthday! We celebrated by going to our church’s festival that evening and having dinner with her and hanging out. It was a lot of fun! Every summer our church has a “Greek fest”, where there’s Greek music, Greek food, and tons of Greek people lol. It’s always a good time. We brought my mom these huge balloons that had her age on there (she wasn’t happy about that part, but appreciated the balloons lol).

Finally, on Sunday, we went to my cousins graduation party. It was nice. We stayed for about two hours then left because Oliver was sleeping and we needed to wake him for his last feeding before bed. We have a routine you know! We can’t stay out too late anymore lol (which is perfectly fine with me).

Overall, it was a great weekend. I’m currently working on my next Get to Know post, so be on the lookout for that within the next week (I hope). I also hope you all had a great weekend and I will write to you again soon!
