Back in April my mom bought tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour – it didn’t disappoint!
Before I talk about the tour I wanted to give a little update on what’s been going on in my life and why I haven’t posted as much lately. It’s very simple: I’m tired! Lol. Ugh. I’ve been so tired lately and coming home late last night did not help.
Yesterday in the AM, I woke up with Oliver, fed him, did the normal routine until Lea woke up, and then I went for my second run of the summer. It felt great, but it also makes my whole body sore. Hopefully I keep it up so my body is used to running twice a week! The weather has been beautiful in the region lately and I believe it’s going to continue being beautiful so I have no reason not to go…beside just being lazy lol.
After my run I came home and finally posted my third edition of my Get to Know series. If you missed it, you can read it here. It’s about Harriet Tubman and I found it so interesting. I hope you all do as well! Okay, now to the main point of this post….
Last night Lea, myself, my mom, and my two cousins went to see Taylor Swift play at Soldier Field in Chicago. It was fantastic. She really knows how to put on a show. It was so much fun and I loved seeing Lea so happy. We took lots of pictures and I wanted to share those with you! Of course, I had to dress up to support Lea (and Taylor), so I wore a Mr. Perfectly Fine shirt. It’s a greats song, but also a not-so- nice song about one of her ex boyfriends, but it got some laughs at the concert. Plus, I think I was the only person wearing a shirt like that lol. And yes, that’s a frozen strawberry marg in the last slide!
Lea sang and danced the whole night (which is why her back is killing her today lol! It’s not funny, but it is because it just shows that we’re getting older). The weather was beautiful, the music was awesome, and Taylor Swift was…well…Taylor Swift. I don’t know how else to describe her. There’s a reason she’s one of the most famous musical artists and people in the world. Also, I enjoyed hearing some throwbacks from when we were kids! Being the Eras Tour, she sang a bunch of older songs along with her newer stuff. We got to hear You Belong with Me and Love Story, as well as many other early hits of hers. It was cool!
Today I am exhausted. We got home last night around 1 AM and Oliver woke up when we tried to move him to his crib, so I had to feed him and then put him back to sleep. Then he woke up for the day around 5 AM lol. The life of a parent is exhausting! I also had to work some overtime today due to high volume at work, so that was no fun at all. Other than that, I’ve just been reading the day away and hanging out with Oliver. It was a good day and a great weekend!
