Hello everyone, happy Saturday! I hope your weekend has started off well. Ours has been alright so far. Lea went back to work today, so it’s just me and baby O hanging out around the house. He’s currently talking to himself on the floor while watching Winnie the Pooh. Anyways, I found something that I thought was kind of funny last night and I wanted to share it with all of you.
Before I begin, I wanted to say that I haven’t had much time to work on my Get to Know series, which I post on the first of each month. I’ve worked on it a little bit but since I’ve been back at work it’s been a little difficult, so it might be a bit late this time. Sorry! Okay, let’s get to the point of this post.
Since this blog is called The Region Life I figured I should share news with you all about the happenings around here. I saw this article last night from Region News Source and I thought it was amusing. Cowboy Arrested by Hammond Policethe title reads. As odd as that sounds, it gets a bit weirder lol. “A man known as Dreadhead Cowboy was arrested Thursday around 6 PM in front of House of Pizza…after a police confrontation explaining to him that he cannot ride the horse in the city per ordinance.”
I have so many questions. First, what?! Lol. Second, why?! And lastly, who?! They say “a man known as” like we’re supposed to have heard of him haha. This whole story confuses me but makes me laugh at the same time. Apparently he was detained after allegedly elbowing an officer while they were trying to get him off his horse. The piece states that “Dreadhead Cowboy made headlines last year after riding his horse in a pursuit with police on a Chicago expressway…”
What a wild story. One you don’t see often in the region. I thought it was interesting and a little funny, so I wanted to share lol. The region is usually quite quiet when it comes to things like this (I think most places are), so when they do happen I can’t help but read about it.
Other than that, there is not much going on around here. There is a record store I want to go check out soon that just opened! It will be my next Exploring the Region post.
I hope you enjoyed this post and that news story. If you did please share and subscribe!
