Hello and welcome back to The Region Life! If you’re new here, this is a personal blog with the occasional interview with the great people of Northwest Indiana. Here you’ll find rants about the Chicago Bulls, reviews on the recent DC Comic books I have read, stories about Winston the cat and Baby O (my son), and so much more about my life. I hope you decide to subscribe and follow along!
We had a great weekend. It was filled with tons of baby cuddles and television. Time away from work has been fantastic, and honestly, I don’t want to go back! Who does though? Lol. Spending every day with my son and wife is great and I love it.
Yesterday Lea and I wanted to get Oliver used to being upstairs in our room. He just isn’t comfortable up there yet and we can’t figure out why. So we’re trying to hang out with him more up there during the day to get him used to it. However, yesterday, we were folding laundry, then laid down next to him in bed and watched the White Sox game. I wish I could tell you how it ended but we all fell asleep!

It was a great naptime lol! Oliver was in his little snuggle-me bed and Lea and I were on each side of him. Me and Oliver were the first to pass out, then Lea ended up falling asleep too. It was so nice to actually nap for once! I’ve never been a good “napper”.
Once we woke up it was Baby O’s favorite time of the week – bath time! I’m just kidding, he despises bath time. He does not like it at all (until we rinse him off with the warm water lol).
Today Baby Oliver is officially ONE MONTH OLD. Where did the last month go? It’s so crazy how fast time goes by. He is already so big too. He also made his debut at church for his 40 day blessing.
In the Orthodox Church, the 40 day blessing consists of prayers for the parents and the child. It was really beautiful and Oliver was so well behaved the whole time! He slept through most of it somehow lol.
When we got home we watched another White Sox game, had some family over, then watched the ending to the Bulls game (they won! Woohoo).
It’s been a great weekend. Filled with so much love, prayer and family. I wish my dad and brother were here to see all of this and to meet our child. They would love him so much.
I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!
Peter
