Hello everyone! I hope your week has been going well. There’s been a few things going on at home, and in the news recently, so there is plenty to chat about today.
Let’s start with the things going on in my life. Baby Oliver had his ONE MONTH doctor’s appointment today. I cannot believe he will be one month old on Sunday. He’s getting so big so fast and it’s making me sad! L He is perfectly healthy and is weighing as much as ten pounds! He’s a big boy and we love him so much. Everything with him is going well. Baby boy and Lea are currently napping (on separate couches), so it’s pretty peaceful in our home at the moment.
I just finished my first draft for my first Get to Know series post! I still have to go over it and edit it, but it should be up on Monday (4/3/23)! I’m really excited for this series, and I’ve learned a lot about the person I chose to write about. I hope you all do too. Last night though, I realized that I just created a series where I assigned myself book reports to do lol, so for a moment there it didn’t sound too appealing, but once I started writing it again I remembered how much I enjoy it.
Recently, I received a letter in the mail from the town where Lea and I went to college, and where my in-laws live. It was from their sewage billing department. They are saying I have a debt of a few hundred dollars from the years 2021-2022….lol. I moved out of my duplex (and that town) in 2016! I have no idea what they are talking about. So of course I called the water company and they have opened an investigation as to why a) my account is open and b) why I’m being told to pay off this debt. The funny thing is I can’t contest this with the town over the phone, so I sent a letter requesting a hearing with them in order to resolve this. I am sure that is not what they wanted, but their letter said that is the only way to dispute it! So I will be going back to there at some point to take care of this, and prove that I do not owe this money! Lol. It’s all so silly, but it’s the principle of it, ya know? I will for sure keep you all updated on this goofy situation.
Let’s move on to recent news. Two big stories from the last few days. I want to start this segment by sending my condolences to the families, and prayers to the victims, of the Nashville Christian school shooting that took place. It is so horrific, and I can’t imagine what everyone related to the shooting is going through right now. Unlike our politicians who use tragedies like these to immediately push their agendas, I will not give my political views on the issue’s that arise from this horrible killing spree. However, I will say once again how deeply sorry I am for the losses of those beautiful children and the brave adults who tried to keep them safe. And thank you to the heroic officers who stopped the madness!
Next, and this literally just happened thirty minutes ago, former President Trump becomes the first former President to be indicted. Now, I don’t know much about the hush money case against him, but I think I’ve seen enough to know that this won’t hold up at trial. He is not above the law, so a trial is obviously necessary, I just don’t think it will provide the outcome the DA is hoping for. What’s the saying? “You can indict a ham sandwich?” lol! Seriously though, this country is in trouble if we are indicting former Presidents. We will see what happens, but let’s all hope that this doesn’t lead to any more violence. That is the last thing this country needs right now. PRAY!
