Hey everyone! Happy President’s Day to those in the U.S. I had the day off from work today (bank holiday) and I really needed it.
I haven’t had a lot of sleep the last two days. It’s been kind of miserable. As I said in my post on Saturday, I went to a friends birthday party Saturday night in Chicago. It was a lot of fun. It was great seeing old friends however, I am so over staying out late. I didn’t even drink and my body is still so exhausted.
We stayed at the party in Chicago until about two in the morning. Then we had a forty five minute drive home. Then I had to take my friend home, then drive twenty to twenty five minutes back to my place! It was a LONG night lol! I got home around three in the morning and finally went to sleep.
Then on Sunday I could not sleep comfortable at all. When I finally fell asleep, I had this really vivid dream. It was a nightmare. I haven’t had one of those in years. It was so real and scary. I know it sounds childish but the dream was terrifying. And a voice in my head was saying do not open your eyes. So unfortunately for Lea, I had to turn on my lamp until I could calm down and finally fall back asleep. She was not happy lol. She went to the guest room and was able to peacefully finish her beauty sleep.
So, as you can see, I desperately needed this day off to rest and relax! And that is exactly what I did. I started the day by finally packing my hospital bag for when baby boy is born. Then I did a quick workout in our basement and hopped in a steamy shower. Next, I took my two suits, and two coats, to the dry cleaners and I was able to pick up Lea’s wedding rings at the jewelry store. We dropped them off on Saturday for a quick polish. After dropping those off to her at work, I went to the grocery store and then, finally, I returned home. Keep in mind this was all before noon lol! I still had the whole rest of the day to chill. It was great!
Did anyone else have the day off today? How was it and what did you do? Let me know in the comments!
