Hello and welcome back to my Exploring the Region series! If you’re new here, I use this series to tell my readers about the great places I visit throughout Northwest Indiana. Whether it’s a game shop in Lowell, or a historic movie theater in Whiting, there are so many cool places to see around here, and I love sharing the experience with you!
Last weekend I finally had the time to check out our local comic shop. It’s called Tenth Planet and it is in Schererville, Indiana.
I took some pictures and had a look around. With all of the new DC movies and television shows coming out in the near future, I figured I should start reading about some of these characters!
The shop was really cool, and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I had one worker who went out of his way to show me where a few things were and explained what some of the books were about. It was really nice to have great customer service! And I’m obviously not going to complain about the products!
I ended up buying five books. Two Superman comics that I’ve read before
And three that I haven’t read before. Blue and Gold (my current read) is about Booster Gold. The other two are The Authority, and I have no idea what I’m in for when I start those, but I’m excited!
Overall it was a really awesome experience, and I will definitely be going there again. Unfortunately, it won’t be for a while, considering I have a lot to read before I make anymore purchases! If you’re from the Region, or just passing through and want to check out a cool store, or buy some comics, definitely check out Tenth Planet! It will be worth your time!
