Chicago Bulls First Game Wednesday

The first Chicago Bulls game of the regular season is this Wednesday (10/19/22) in Miami and, sadly, I don’t think I will be able to watch most, or any, of it. After work tomorrow I have dinner plans with my Godfather. It will be fun, and I hope the restaurant has the game on! Anyways, here is what us Bulls fans found out today.

Per Bulls Insider K.C. Johnson, “The first injury report of the regular season is out. And in a mild surprise, Zach LaVine is on it, listed as questionable for Wednesday’s regular-season opener in Miami against the Heat.” He goes on to state that “questionable” tends to mean there is a 50-50 chance the player will play. It doesn’t make sense to me because, like K.C. said, It’s the first game of the season and they won’t be playing again until Friday. So it’s not a back-to-back game. If it was then it would make sense why LaVine might not be playing. Hopefully he is alright, I think he will be!

The next bit of Bulls news to come out in recent days was from Rob Schaefer, who informed us that the Bulls and Coby White did not agree to an extension, meaning he will be a restricted free agent next summer. It will be interesting to see how things turn out. I think I know what’s going to happen; the Bulls will send him out to find an offer, and then they will decide whether to match it or trade him. Unfortunately for White, I think they will end up trading him. It’s very crowded in Chicago’s back court right now, and unless he plays his best season yet, I don’t see him coming back next season. He is a good player though, and if he is traded I hope he does well wherever he ends up!

Once again, Lonzo Ball is still out. No update that I know of in regards to that situation. I also read that Alex Caruso might not be playing tomorrow either. Man it seems like the Bulls are going to have a rough start to the season. Hopefully I’m wrong, but that’s just what it looks like right now. I also think it will also be a fun and exciting season. I can’t wait to start going to games. Go Bulls!
