My Saturday

Overall, it was a pretty good day here in ‘da region!

This morning I had breakfast with a great friend of mine. My koumbaro Demetri and I went to this great family owned business called Omelette House in Schererville, Indiana. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. If you’re ever in the area, check them out!

I should back up for a second. For those who aren’t Greek and don’t know, a “koumbaro”, in our tradition is the male sponsor of the union (marriage) and the Greek version of the best man. So for our wedding back in 2018, I had my koumbaro Demetri, and my regular best man, Zak.

Anyways, breakfast was great. It was an awesome time catching up with my friend, and one of the best people I know. Afterwards, I went to Meijer’s (a store, for those who don’t know) and I got a few things. First I needed more beard oil. I desperately need my beard oil! I also got a couple dumbbells for my little homemade gym I am trying to put together. So far I have a pull-up bar, a total gym machine, and these two 25lb dumbbells lol I know, it sounds great doesn’t it?

After my mini shopping spree, I went to the driving range once again. I desperately need to practice. My golf game SUCKS. It was very relaxing though. There was only one other person there, the sun was out and there was a nice breeze. It was so quiet and just all-around wonderful.

Once I was done there, I went to my moms to pick up my snowblower and a box of comic books – can’t wait to dig in to those! Then, after a few minutes of playing with her dog, I went over to my grandmas for dinner (and to see my aunt & cousin who are in town visiting. But there’s nothing like grandma’s cooking am I right?).

So as I said earlier, it was a pretty good day here in ‘da region! Hopefully tomorrow is just as good.
