Vacation and the Bulls

After a week-long vacation I am finally home. I had some time off recently, it was so relaxing. I did a lot, and I wanted to share it with my readers! I also wanted to talk about the Bulls (again). I wanted to give them some time after that horrible performance in their first pre-season game.

So as I said, I had some vacation time to burn, and oh boy did I spend it the right way. To start it off, I spent the first few days at the range hitting some golf balls with my new set of clubs. It was a blast and so relaxing. Besides that I spent some time with family and binge-watched a few shows on HBO Max. If you must know, I started ( and finished) Entourage and Stargirl (only two seasons are on HBO Max currently). Both were really good! DC/Warner Brothers is starting to put out some good content. (More on that in another post!)

The last four days of my vacation were spent in the beautiful state of Florida with my mom. She went down there for her friends birthday and asked me to tag along. How could I say no?! I got to spend some time alone soaking up some vitamin D by the pool, as well as spending quality time with my mom. It was a blast. I also met up with one of cousins who lives down there for one night. We went to a roof top bar with spectacular views (see below) and then we hopped on a haunted trolly tour. It was so awesome!

It was all a really fun. I also enjoyed going to the Salvador Dali museum with my mom. It was so cool to see his work. Art isn’t really my thing, and I feel stupid staring at some paintings because I can’t understand them, but I knew enough to know that Dali’s work was beautiful. Here’s a pic of me and my mom at the museum!

It was awesome! Of course, I can’t leave out my little guy – Mr. Winston the cat. He was so happy when I got home at 2am on Monday that he actually cuddled me while I was sleeping! (He never does. He LOVES Lea and is always cuddling her. So this was a treat). I’ll have to do another “a day in the life” post about him soon.

As you can see, he is thrilled to see me.

Now, let’s get to the Bulls pre-season….

I’ll be honest, the first game made me sick. It was a horrible game. However, there were some positives. For one, Vucevic did GREAT. Yes, I know this is rare but I have a feeling I will be a big fan of his this season. He’s talked about being more consistent and staying down low more this year, and that’s exactly what he did in the first pre-season game, and it’s what he continues to do thus far. It’s great to see. He is going to be really, really good this year if he keeps it up.

Javonte Green is a rising star. He has played so well in these first few games. He comes out with so much energy and toughness, he’s basically been unstoppable. I know its only the pre-season but I think he is going to have a breakout year.

Overall, I think it’s going to be a good season for Chicago. Will they win the championship? Probably not. But it will be a fun season and I expect them to win at least one playoff series, which would be huge.

Now I need to log off. The Bulls are currently playing and I don’t want to keep missing all the excitement!

Go Bulls!
