A Day in the Life of Winston the Cat

If you read my previous post, you know we adopted an 8-week-old kitten. His name is Winston and he is adorable. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to meet our other cat, Baby Ruth, yet since he is on some medication. But soon enough they will be running and playing all day! Anyways, I wanted to share some photos and tell you all about Winston’s day-to-day routine.

After he wakes up, sometimes around five in the morning 😐 he will meow very loudly and play with some of the noisiest toys that he has. The other day, actually, we woke up to find that he shredded these cotton balls Lea had on the counter top in our bathroom. I had figured he went to bed early the night before but I guess this is what he was doing! lol. After that, my wife will start getting ready for work in the bathroom… at least she tries to get ready. Sometimes Winston does not allow that! He is attached to Lea’s hip. Anytime she tires to get ready in the bathroom he jumps on her chest and wiggles his way to her shoulder to lay down. It’s adorable lol

When he is not doing that, he is usually sitting like this in his perch lol I would say a majority of the time I walk in the bathroom to check on him, he is sitting like this lol. Because of his current congestion (which is what his meds are for) he loses his energy a little faster than normal kittens. So after playing for a few minutes he needs a break, and what better way to relax than to cuddle? He LOVES cuddling. Especially with Lea.

However, when he does cuddle it goes a little something like the picture above. He rolls around and just about falls off of us every single time, but he’s okay! He will just climb back up and start rolling around again. After a while of rolling around, biting our fingers, attacking our shirts and falling on his face, he will relax and start purring while his eyes slowly close. He likes to lay flat on his stomach. It looks a little like this:

So, so far this is Winston’s day-to-day routine. He is a good boy, and is really loving and fun! I’ll continue with the updates because as he gets older he will start to do more. But for now, enjoy these cute pictures of little Winston!
